On 12/7/2025, at approximately 1848 hours, Glynn County Police Department was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Brunswick, GA, in reference to a Domestic Dispute.
Upon arrival, I made contact with Fredrick Foster in the garage. Upon initial contact I asked what was going on. He kept repeating that nothing was going on. Due to not being able to obtain a statement from him I went to the front door of the residence to make contact with the complainant/victim, [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated Fredrick has been drinking alcohol all day and he is known to abuse alcohol. She stated she had to get furniture out of her vehicle but in order to do so, his vehicle needed to be moved over. She stated they were both in the garage and she asked him to move his vehicle over but he refused to do so. Her and Fredrick were standing on opposite sides of the boat in the garage when he decided to throw wood/metal tongs at her as hard as he could, during the altercation. The tongs struck her bicep on her right arm, causing a superficial scratch and redness.
She then walked back inside to tell her daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to stay inside because she was standing at the front door. She walked back into the garage and Fredrick hit her with the tongs on the top of her head. She said she did not have any marks on her head due to her having a hat on. She stated once he hit her with the tongs, she pushed him into the wall and punched him in the face with her right hand. She stated “It was a sissy punch.”. I did not observe any redness on the knuckles on her right hand. She stated she did this to get him away from her and she told him he needed to leave. After the altercation, she went inside and called 911.
[VICTIM #1] allowed me to talk to her daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to obtain a statement from her. She stated she was standing at the front door when she heard the tongs get thrown but she did not witness it. She was unable to recollect any other specifics of the incident.
I then made contact with Fredrick as he was standing with Ofc. Pritchett. I asked him if he could explain the incident with the tongs and he stated he just tossed them in the boat. He said he intended to throw the tongs in the boat and not at [VICTIM #1]. He denied ever hitting her in the head with the tongs or putting his hands on her, but said [VICTIM #1] hit him in the throat. He would not elaborate why she hit him nor did I observe any injuries. Once asked the reason for throwing the tongs, he said, “the chicken wasn’t done.”. Once I told him that doesn’t make any sense he said he pleads the fifth.
Due to the physical and testimonial evidence given, I determined Fredrick to be the predominant aggressor in this incident.
I advised Fredrick he was under arrest and to put his hands behind his back. Не tensed up and I grabbed his left arm as Ofc. Pritchett grabbed his right arm. I placed him in handcuffs and advised he was under arrest for Battery( FVA). I conducted a search incident to arrest and no weapons or contraband was found. I escorted him to my patrol car, sat him in the backseat, and applied the seatbelt. Fredrick gave us permission to look in his truck for his wallet and phone. While searching for these items, Ofc. Kennedy located a handgun. She asked [VICTIM #1] if she wanted to put the gun inside the residence, in which she said yes. Ofc. Kennedy cleared the firearm and gave it to [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated he has made comments saying, “I’ll get my gun.” and she is in fear he may use them. I advised her to obtain a Protection Order against him. She stated they have been together for two years but have been married since October, which would make this incident fall under the Family Violence Act. I gave her a Victim’s Bill of Rights pamphlet to provide her remedies outside of law enforcement.
I transported Fredrick to the Glynn County Detention Center and booked him.
A photograph of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries and the tongs have been uploaded to evidence.com.
