Case History:
1/6/26
MOTION FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING AND BAIL REDUCTION FILED
What this means: Ivory Nicole Crosby’s defense attorney filed a motion requesting a preliminary hearing and asking the court to either set bail or reduce the bail amount. Crosby is accused of cruelty to children in the second degree involving criminal negligence that allegedly caused excessive physical or mental pain. This motion is a standard legal step when a defendant wants a judge to review whether there’s enough evidence to proceed with the case and to address bail conditions.
1/7/26
DEFENDANT BONDED OUT BEFORE PRELIMINARY HEARING
What this means: Ivory Nicole Crosby was released from custody after posting bond in Glynn County Magistrate Court. She was able to secure her release before her scheduled preliminary hearing, meaning either bail was set and she paid it, or the court agreed to release her on other conditions. This happened just one day after her attorney filed the motion regarding bail.
1/20/26
PRELIMINARY HEARING SCHEDULED
What this means: A preliminary hearing for Ivory Nicole Crosby was set for 9:00 AM in Glynn County Magistrate Court. At this hearing, the judge will determine whether there’s probable cause to believe Crosby committed the alleged cruelty to children offense. Since she bonded out on January 7th, she will appear as a free person rather than from custody. If probable cause is found, the case will likely be bound over to a higher court for further proceedings.
