On 09/11/2026 at approximately 1234 I responded to 10100 Canal Crossing in reference to a Hit and Run. Upon arrival, I spoke with the victim.
When I arrived on scene I spoke with [VICTIM #1]. He told me that his vehicle was hit by manager James, later identified as James Maline, in the parking lot when he was leaving. Mr. [VICTIM #1] identified Mr. Maline by his vehicle that a witness took a photo of. A witness identified as [WITNESS #1] explained that he saw Mr. Maline hit the front left of Mr. [VICTIM #1] vehicle look at it and then leave the parking lot. Mr. [WITNESS #1] provided me pictures of the vehicle so I could identify it. I collected Mr. [WITNESS #1]’s and Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s information and gave Mr. [VICTIM #1] a case card and asked if he would like to press charges. I then cleared the scene.
All relevant body camera information has been uplaoded and labeled into evidence.com. A GEARS report will be done as part of the report. I will do a follow-up with Sams Club for video footage. I will be issuing a warrant for hit and run against Mr. Maline.
