I Corporal Bradley on 01/10/2026 was dispatched to Tillman Avenue and G Street in reference to a Traffic Accident.
I arrived on scene and made contact with Jose Perez. Mr. Perez was sitting inside of his vehicle a black 2012 Subabaru Impreza. The vehicle had drove up onto the curb and onto a street sign bending it on the east bound side of G Street. The vehicle was still running and the windshield wipers were activated.
I then opened Mr. Perez’s driver side door and advised him to turn the car off. Due to the language barrier he did not understand. I then turned the car off myself and took the seatbelt off of Mr. Perez. Mr. Perez was assisted out of the vehicle.
I could immediately smell the odor of an Alcoholic beverage coming from Mr. Perez. Mr. Perez could not stand or walk safely as he would immediately lose his balance. While getting Mr. Perez out of the vehicle I observed three cans of Modelo. Two in the cup holder, one in the drivers seat and a case in the back seat.
I then placed Mr. Perez in handcuffs, checked for tightness and double locked. I then read Mr. Perez Implied Consent which he denied. I then searched Mr. Perez and secured him in the back of my patrol vehicle.
Officer Macy then notified me that directly west of the vehicles current resting spot the left side of the residence at [1700 BLOCK] Niles facing G Street had damage consistnet with a car colliding with it. There were tire marks in the grass leading to the damage on the exterior of the house.
The collision caused a water pipe inside the wall to burst and water was coming out of the front and side door. There was no contact made at that residence. On call joint water and sewer were contacted and responded to shut the water off. Once contact is made with property owner a supplement will be added.
I then transported Mr. Perez to the South East Georgia Health System for a Jail Clearance. Mr. Perez was then transported to the Glynn County Detention Center and was booked in for DUI less safe, Failure to maintain, Open Container, No Drivers License, and Hit and Run.
I then handed Mr. Perez over to the Glynn County Detention Center Staff.
