On Sunday, December 21, 2025, I, Corporal Earl F. Wilson (#407), was on duty with Patrol A-1 of the Brunswick Police Department (BPD). I was in full BPD patrol uniform and equipped with a digital body-worn Axon camera. My vehicle for the day was the marked patrol truck 20-2.

At about 2351 hours, BPD Officers were dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Second Avenue in regard to a burglary in progress. A 911 caller reported “someone trying to kick door in” and “doesn’t know who it” is.

On arrival, Officers made contact with KENNETH KNIGHT. Kenneth is a former resident of this house, and the caller/complainant [VICTIM #1] is his child’s mother. Officers have responded to this location several times in the past few months, each time with similar allegations.

Kenneth smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person, with slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet. Kenneth cursed and used racial epithets repeatedly. Kenneth repeatedly made veiled threats towards Officers. He stated several times that he was in charge of many things and that he was the kitchen manager at Marshside Grill. He stated that when Officers came to eat, we should watch or check our food, implying that he would contaminate it.

[VICTIM #1] essentially stated that she was asleep when she heard someone trying to kick in the house’s door. She stated the person was knocking or kicking on the front and side doors, as well as the house’s windows.

Kenneth claimed he was at the house at almost midnight to drop off Christmas presents. [VICTIM #1] stated he had given presents the night before but had taken them back.

During prior incidents, Officers learned that Kenneth’s primary residence was on St. Simons Island and would stay on 2nd Avenue on occasion. During the prior incidents, Kenneth would leave the house.

Kenneth was asked several times to leave the residence, to call someone to pick him up, or to accept a ride from Officers to his residence. Kenneth refused all requests and would yell, curse, and use fighting words referring to Officers as “nig*as”. When asked if she was afraid, [VICTIM #1] would state she was “afraid” when Kenneth began knocking on the doors and windows.

Kenneth did violate City of Brunswick “Municipal Code 16-22 Disorderly conduct” to wit “(a) A person (KENNETH) commits the offense of disorderly conduct when he acts in a violent or tumultuous manner (KICKING DOORS, BANGING ON WINDOWS AT 2345 HOURS) toward another person or any property whereby any person ([VICTIM #1]) is placed in fear of his safety or property is placed danger.”

Kenneth was advised that he was under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. He was handcuffed behind his back, the cuffs were double locked and checked for fit. He was searched and then seated in the right rear of the patrol vehicle.

During transport to the Glynn County Detention Center, Kenneth made threats to call his cousin, the mayor, and have Officers fired. He repeatedly made direct and indirect statements that Officers had destroyed their lives and careers by arresting him. He made a veiled threat that Officers should watch out for him and that he was the wrong one to have arrested.

Kenneth was served with a city court citation 193622, which he refused to sign. A booking form was prepared and presented to Detention Deputies. Kenneth was released intoA the Sheriff’s custody.
