On 10/23/2025 I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a stabbing. I made contact with Glynn County Fire/EMS personnel who advised me the victim, later identified as [VICTIM #1], was on the third floor in room [REDACTED].

I took the elevator up with the EMS personnel so they could be staged close by once I had cleared the scene. When we reached the third floor, I drew my department issued service weapon and began clearing the third floor before arriving at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. At [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I knocked and announced myself as Glynn County Police, [WITNESS #1] opened the door and was helping Mr. [VICTIM #1] with his wounds on the floor of the bathroom. I cleared the room to ensure no one else was inside and began trying to gather a statement from Mr. [VICTIM #1] while EMS personnel began assessing his wounds.

I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] for any kind of description for his attacker. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he was just trying to run and did not see anything. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised the stabbing occurred in the area of Elianos Coffee near the hotel. When I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] how he got to the hotel, he stated he ran all the way to the hotel to seek help. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he heard a car door when he was running away, but all the information he was able to provide was that he was stabbed from behind before he ran.

While EMS personnel continued to assess Mr. [VICTIM #1], I spoke with Mr. [WITNESS #1] who stated he knew Mr. [VICTIM #1] because he lived and worked at the hotel. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated he was the maintenance man for the hotel and Mr. [VICTIM #1] just came to his room with the wound, so he called 911 and began helping apply pressure to the wound.

While speaking with Mr. [WITNESS #1], Mr. [VICTIM #1] was giving more information to Officer J. Miller #139, changing the location and stating it actually happened on the street around Elianos Coffee and there would be no video surveillance footage because of this.

I gathered Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s personal information and notated the area of his injury. Mr. [VICTIM #1] also advised EMS personnel he believed he was stabbed with a kitchen knife. I gathered Mr. [WITNESS #1]’s information and that is when he advised Mr. [VICTIM #1] lived on the first floor in room [REDACTED]. I went downstairs to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to attempt to make contact with anyone inside as well as secure the room while Officer J. Miller continued to speak with Mr. [WITNESS #1].

While knocking on the door to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Officer J. Miller advised me the stories were not adding up and Mr. [VICTIM #1] had a girlfriend that lived in the room with him. A front desk employee came out and stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] girlfriend, later identified as LETICIA NOTTINGHAM, left in a vehicle shortly after Mr. [VICTIM #1] was stabbed. I left Officer A. Parke #147 at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to ensure it was secure and nobody entered or exited the room.

I began searching the immediate areas around [REDACTED BY AGENCY] for blood while officers looked over the video surveillance footage.

I requested an officer be en route to the hospital to stay with the victim due to him being transported to the emergency room by EMS personnel while I went back inside the hotel to review the video surveillance footage.

Officer J. Miller advised me once I got back inside the hotel that the stabbing happened in [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Ms. Nottingham can be seen leaving the hotel, getting in her vehicle, and leaving the scene shortly after Mr. [VICTIM #1] left the room wounded.

Officers advised nearby units to be on the lookout for Ms. Nottingham and her vehicle. The vehicle make, model, and license plate were unable to be made out due to the vehicle driving to fast for the cameras to get a clear shot.

Officer J. Miller and I briefed SGT. K. Monks #223 of the situation.

Officers requested Glynn County Dispatch to notify Camden County agencies of Ms. Nottingham’s description due to her having a Saint Marys address on her driver’s license and possibly going back into that area. SGT K. Monks advised me the Criminal Investigations Unit would be responding out to the scene so I stood by and secured the room until detectives arrived on scene.

Detective T. Mike #182 called me and I briefed her on the situation. She advised she was going to the hospital first to speak with the victim and Detective D. Baker #166 would be arriving with a search warrant for the room once it was signed.

Detective D. Baker arrived on scene with the search warrant and we prepared to do a security sweep of the room to ensure no one was inside before allowing crime scene technicians in to process the room.

Detective U. Baker, SGT K. Monks, and I knocked and announced ourselves as Glynn County Police before entering the room. We cleared the room ensuring nobody else was inside. Crime scene technicians and detectives began processing the room.
