On 06/29/2026 I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a domestic.
I made contact with [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] who stated there had been a verbal argument between Ms. [VICTIM #1] and MAURICE DALLAS. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised while the argument was active, Mr. Dallas snatched Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s phone out of her hand, and threw it twice inside the residence. The first time Mr. Dallas threw the phone was down the hallway causing it to hit the wall and the second time was when he threw the phone on the ground.
These actions were described by both Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #1] who initially stated they did not want to press charges since he left. However, I advised them because Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. Dallas are siblings and currently living together, the charges fell under the Family Violence Act of Georgia which meant they did not have a choice in whether or not charges were pressed.
Officers took photographs of the iPhone that was damaged and Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised the iPhone was worth approximately $1,900.00 USD. The iPhone was completely shattered on the front and back, and would need to be replaced. These photographs have been uploaded to evidence.com. The iPhone was returned to Ms. [VICTIM #1], and labeled as damaged property under the following property number: 26-06552: Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max ([REDACTED BY AGENCY]) $1,900.00 USD.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #1] provided me with Mr. Dallas’s information and advised they would call officers back out to the residence if Mr. Dallas returned. I provided Ms. [VICTIM #1] a case card and a victim’s bill of rights with the case number written on both. The phone number listed for Ms. [VICTIM #1] above is her current, but it is for the damaged phone. Ms. [VICTIM #1] can be reached via Ms. [WITNESS #1]’ phone number, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Not long after I left the scene, Ms. [WITNESS #1] called officers back to the residence stating Mr. Dallas returned. I arrived back at the residence and was let into the house by Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I saw Mr. Dallas walking towards the back door of the residence and gave him a loud verbal command to stop. I immediately placed Mr. Dallas in handcuffs and he began yelling and screaming at Ms. [VICTIM #1] an Ms. [WITNESS #1]. I walked Mr. Dallas outside to separate him from everyone inside the house and he continued to yell and scream profanities outside the residence at an unreasonable hour. Mr. Dallas was so loud, it caused one of the neighbors to leave his residence due to being tired of hearing all of the yelling.
I searched Mr. Dallas incident to arrest and placed him in the back seat of my patrol vehicle before transporting him to the Glynn County Detention Center. While I was transporting Mr. Dallas, he began to spit in the back seat of my patrol vehicle while still yelling profanities and racial slurs. We arrived at the Glynn County Detention Center and Mr. Dallas was transferred into the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office.
I had sufficient probable cause to arrest Mr. Dallas for criminal damage to property 2nd degree FVA for the broken iPhone based on testimony, physical evidence, and Mr. Dallas admitting freely to breaking the phone while being arrested. I also had sufficient probable cause to arrest Mr. Dallas for disorderly conduct due to him yelling and screaming profanities and racial slurs at an unreasonable time of night, causing a neighbor to leave their residence after hearing enough of it. As well as Mr. Dallas spitting in the back seat of my patrol vehicle while being transported to the Glynn County Detention Center.
