On March 25th, 2026, at approximately 1734 hours, I, OFC Curvin (Badge #119), was dispatched and responded to Sea Island Rd and Kings Way Rd, St. Simons Island, GA in reference to a hit and run accident.

Upon my arrival to the scene, I met and spoke with [VICTIM #1] who stated that she was involved in an accident at the stop sign at the above stated intersection. She stated that the vehicle that struck her was a black GMC Sierra truck with the license plate, [REDACTED], and that the driver of said vehicle provided a cell phone number which is, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

[VICTIM #1] stated that the driver did not provide any further information and stated that the driver stated he would not stay and wait for law enforcement because, “he did not have a license and he would get arrested and deported”. I then collected all of [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle information to conduct the accident investigation. Once complete, I provided [VICTIM #1] with the case information and my next steps.

Following the submission of this report, a GEARS report has been submitted for the accident.

As for the criminal offense I intend to conduct follow-ups to identify the driver of the vehicle, being that there is probable cause that the driver committed the offense of Hit and Run (OCGA 40-6-270) by leaving the scene of the incident, not providing his name, address, registration number of the vehicle, or his operator’s license.

The vehicle has been entered into FLOCK and has been captured travelling through multiple intersections on St. Simons Island on both 03/25/2026 and 03/26/2026.

I conducted a follow-up interview with [VICTIM #1] on 03/36/2026 at approximately 0955 hours to gather details pertaining to the physical description of the driver. She stated that the man is Mexican with several moles on his face, particularly between his nose and mouth and one on his cheek. She stated his hands appeared to be worn and rough.

I was also able to ascertain that [VICTIM #1] first made contact with the driver at the Kings Way Rd and Frederica Rd roundabout and that she witnessed him enter the roundabout via Retreat Ave. She also stated that he informed her that he was working on a “Sea” road. After backtracking, I have determined the driver either works on Old Seaside Dr or Beachview Dr.

The vehicle information has also been entered into GCIC and has been attached to the involvements. The vehicle is registered to a [REDACTED] with an address of [100 BLOCK] Juliette Cir, Brunswick, GA.

Pending the completion of the follow-ups, nothing further.
