[NARRATIVE #1 on January 03, 2026]
On January 03, 2026, I (PFC K Jenkins #429) responded to 1700 Norwich St; Adam’s Meat Market in reference to an assault call. Dispatch advised that the caller was struck in the face with a pistol and the offenders location is unknown at that time.
I arrived on scene and observed a white male, standing next to a register, inside of the store. The male was bleeding in the middle of his face and he was using his hands to hold his nose. I unholstered my department issued pistol and entered the store.
I asked the white male if the offender was still on scene. The male pointed outside saying he went east on G St. He gave a description of a light skin black male with dreads wearing a black beanie, jeans, and a tan sweat shirt/pull over. I provided that information to the other BPD officers on scene and they search the area for the suspect.
The injured male was identified as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] had a laceration across his nose, which was still bleeding. I sat [VICTIM #1] down in the back of my patrol vehicle and gave him some gauze to apply on the wound. EMS arrived on scene and performed their check up on [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] advised that he was returning to his home at [2400 BLOCK] Union St. He was riding south on Albany St then turned right (west) on to G St. As [VICTIM #1] was coming up to the intersection of G St and Norwich St, he noticed the suspect (he described above) standing at the corner of Adam’s Meat Market. The male was starring at [VICTIM #1]; in which, [VICTIM #1] felt as if the male was “mean mugging” him. The male then stepped into [VICTIM #1]’s path. [VICTIM #1] confronted him asking why is he looking at him like that. The male threatened to shoot [VICTIM #1] and grabbed his backpack. This caused [VICTIM #1] to get off of his bicycle and grab his chain he had wrapped around his handle bar. The male walked away, into the store, then back out of the store, grabbed a silver handgun out of his backpack and pistol whipped him in the face. The male left the scene after striking him, going east on G St. [VICTIM #1] advised he did not know the male and never seen him before. (END OF STATEMENT)
[VICTIM #1] was asked to further elaborate on why the male would attack him, if he did not “know” him. [VICTIM #1] got upset with officers and refuse to answer any further. [VICTIM #1] was transported to the hospital by EMS.
Myself and CPL Pina #464 reviewed in store camera footage. The store only had camera inside with one facing the front entrance. On the camera, I observed a black male, with long dreads, wearing a white and dark color jacket, black beanie, blue jeans, and blue and white shoes. The male had a dark color backpack and an electric scooter with a small bag hanging on it. The store owner [REDACTED] advised that he will upload the video through the Axon Community Link on evidence.com.
OFC DeBruijn advised that she located the male, described in the above paragraph, on the 1700 block of Albany St. The male was placed under arrest around 2042 hrs and placed into the rear of CPL Pina’s patrol vehicle. CPL Pina read Miranda Rights and began his questioning. I arrived in front of [1700 BLOCK] Albany St where the male was arrested. I was advised by CPL Pina that Miranda was read to the suspect, identified as Reaco Johnson.
Reaco advised that he was in the Sammy’s store (Adam’s Meat Market) buying food. He exited the store and was confronted by a white male [VICTIM #1] who was riding his bicycle on G St. The male asked Reaco why he was staring at him. Reaco was confused as he never met the male nor seen him before. The two got into an argument but Reaco never elaborated on what exactly was said. Eventually, male grabbed a chain, off the bike, and swung it at Reaco. The chains missed and Reaco reacted by swinging his bag at the male. From there, Reaco left the scene. (END OF STATEMENT)
I advised Reaco that the injuries [VICTIM #1] sustained was much more complex than a bag hitting him in the face. I asked Reaco if he remember making contact with the bag. Reaco responded that the male possibly used the chain to cut himself. (I did not mention to Reaco about the type of injury [VICTIM #1] sustained).
I asked if he had any hard or heavy material in his bag. He replied that he did not. Reaco, without being asked, advised that he does not have gun. I asked Reaco where his backpack was located. He advised it was in his uncles residence, [1700 BLOCK] Albany St. His uncle was not on scene.
Reaco asked if he could retrieve his bag. I advised him he could not and instead asked him for consent for one of the officers on scene to retrieve the bag for him. Reaco denied. The front entrance to the residence was locked and the scooter was left on the porch by Reaco.
Reaco was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center (CDC) by CPL Pina. An ABIS and SOVI was completed.
Warrants are pending for the following charge(s) against Reaco Johnson:
Charge Aggravated Assault “With a deadly weapon or with any object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person, is likely to or actually does result in serious bodily injury;”
OCGA 16-5-21(a) (2)
M/F F
No other witnesses at this time. No other cameras located at this time.

[NARRATIVE #2 on January 03, 2026]
On 01/03/2026 at approximately 2031 hours, dispatch advised of an assault at 1700 Norwich Street, Adam’s Meat Market. Dispatch advised that the caller was “pistol whipped”.
Upon arrival, Pfc. Jenkins was speaking with the victim who had obvious signs of an injury to his nose which was actively bleeding. I obtained a description of the suspect which was described as light skin black male, dreads, black beanie, light colored jeans, tan sweatshirt on a bicycle with a backpack.
After getting the description of the suspect, I then went to look throughout the immediate area. I rode past the 1700 block of Albany Street. Outside, I observed a black male somewhat matching the description. The male had a half tan sweatshirt, jeans, and dreads. I rode past and parked a block away at the 1800 block of Albany Street. I had gotten on the radio and asked for a better description when Cpl. Pina advised he was going to send a picture of the suspect out.
Once I received the picture, it was the exact same male I observed outside a residence on the 1700 block of Albany Street. I relayed this information over the radio and waited for other units. Once I observed Cpl. Pina pull onto the block, I went to where the male was located.
My department issued service weapon was drawn as Cpl. Pina gave commands for the male to get on the ground. The suspect complied and was taken into custody without further incident.
Ofc. Jenkins then arrived on scene and completed his investigation.

[NARRATIVE #3 on January 03, 2026]
On above date and time, I Cpl Pina responded to 1700 Norwich St in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival, I observed Pfc. Jenkins speaking with the victim who was in the rear of his patrol vehicle. I asked if the offender had gone into the store to which the victim stated yes. At this time, I retrieved spoke with the owner of the store who was able to provide me video footage of the offender and what he was wearing. I took a picture and sent it out to officers in order for them to bolo.
Shortly after Ofc. DeBruijn stated over the radio she believed she had located the male near Albany St and H St. I then made my way to the area which is when I spotted the male in front of a house on Albany St. I then turned on my takedown lights and exited my vehicle and drew my department issued firearm and began giving the male verbal commands to show his hands. The male complied which is when I then gave verbal commands to get on the ground to which the male also complied. I holstered my firearm and then placed the male in handcuffs.
While doing so, the male made statements of him not having done anything. He then stated that a male tried hitting him with a chain. While escorting the male to my vehicle, he had stated a man swung a chain at him so he then swung his bag back.
The male then continued to speak and continued to make statements of him not having done anything. He then stated he had come out of the store and the dude had called him a “nig*a” and had went to tripping on him which is when he then confronted the male asking what was wrong with him.
The male then stated the other male (victim) had stated “whats up” while he had been getting on his scooter which is when the male then swung a chain at him which is when he swung his bag at him. The offender was identified as Reaco Johnson. I then placed Mr. Johnson in the rear of my patrol vehicle and rolled down his window.
I then read Mr. Johnson his Miranda Rights to which Mr. Johnson agreed to talk to me. I then asked Mr. Johnson what happened to which he began stating he had come out of the store and that he had bought a few items. He then stated he had come out of the store which is when a white dude pulled up on a bicycle while he had been getting on his scooter, which is when the male began asking him what he was looking at him for.
Mr. Johnson stated to the male he had no problem and had asked what was going on which is when the male began calling a “fu*k nig*a” and proceeded to take the chain off of his bicycle and went to swinging the chain. Mr. Johnson stated all he did was take off his bookbag which contained his items in it and swung it back at him.
I then asked where his bag was to which he stated it was at someone’s house. Mr. Johnson stated he handed the bag off to [REDACTED]. I asked Mr. Johnson if at any point he pulled out a gun to which she stated he never pulled out a gun and that he does not have a gun.
I then spoke with [REDACTED] to which he denied having a bag. I was unable to locate a bookbag near where Mr. Johnson was located. I then transported the male to the CDC where the proper ABIS and SOVI was completed. Mr. Johnson was released to the CDC for further booking.
