On the above date and time, I, Pfc. Saint Louis, while on duty with The Brunswick Police Department responded to [2300 BLOCK] H Street in reference to a hit-and-run accident.

I made contact with Driver two and the passenger of Vehicle two, [VICTIM #1], and her husband, [VICTIM #2]. Both couples stated they were in their 2023 Blue Chevrolet Silverado Truck heading North on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, passing McIntyre Court Housing, when a Silver Honda Civic ran the stop sign at I Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and hit them.

The Couple stated they believed the driver would stop, but he continued driving East on I Street. Mr [VICTIM #2] and Ms. [VICTIM #1] both stated they followed the vehicle to their residence while remaining on the phone with dispatch. Mr [VICTIM #2] and Mrs. [VICTIM #1] arrived at [2300 BLOCK] H Street and observed a black male wearing a long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and a skull cap who exited the vehicle, stumbling, and entered the residence.

Officers arrived and noticed damage to the Silver Honda Civic that matched that of the Chevy Silverado. I made contact with the resident at [2300 BLOCK] H Street. [REDACTED], when asked who was recently driving the silver Honda Civic, stated that his brother, Tramaine, is the only resident who has a valid license and owns and drives the Silver Honda Civic.

When asked about Tramaine’s whereabouts, Mr. [REDACTED] stated he was in his room, asleep. Officers made contact with Tramine Nunnally, who was wearing a long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and a skullcap. I asked if he would be willing to step outside the residence to answer officers’ questions about an accident, to which he agreed.

Mr. Tramaine was asked where he had been in the last 30 minutes, to which he advised that he had been out with his friends. When asked whether he was driving his car, he said he was not and that his friend, “unknown name,” picked him up and dropped him off at home. When asked where his friends stayed, Mr. Tramaine stated he did not know.

While conducting my interview with Mr. Tramaine, I could smell an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. When asked if he had anything to drink, Mr. Tramaine stated, “Yes, earlier”. Looking for additional potential damage to the Honda Civic, I observed an opened 16-ounce Icehouse can, a wallet on the driver’s seat, and a cellphone on the driver’s side floorboard.

Upon my investigation, I determined Mr. Tramaine Nunnally to be the suspect driving the vehicle, based on both Mr. [VICTIM #2] and Mrs. [VICTIM #1] identifying him as the driver when he stepped out of the silver Honda Civic upon their arrival at [2300 BLOCK] H Street.

Mr. Tramaine was asked for his credentials and phone number. I called the phone number provided by Mr. Tramaine, and the cell phone found in the floorboard on the driver’s side of the Honda Civic began to ring. I grab the phone and wallet from the Honda Civic and verify that both items belong to Mr. Tramaine.

Inside the wallet was Mr. Tramaine’s License. Mr. Tramaine was placed in handcuffs, double lock, checked for tightness, searched, and placed in the back of my patrol car and transported to Southeast Georgia Health System for jail clearance. Once cleared by the nurses, Mr. Tramaine was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center, where he was charged with Hit and Run (OCGA 40-6-270) and Open Container (OCGA 40-6-253).
