[NARRATIVE #1 on May 26, 2025]

On Monday, May 26, 2025, I, Corporal Earl F. Wilson #407, was on duty with the Brunswick Police (BPD) Patrol A-2. I was in full BPD patrol uniform and equipped with a digital body-worn Axon camera. My vehicle for the day was the marked patrol truck 20-2.

Earlier in the evening, BPD officers had responded to several complaints in the Orange Park area, such as noise, traffic issues, and drug use. At about 2200 hours, Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 2600 block of Johnston Street. It appeared to the responding officers that many people from the park had gathered in that area. Over the last two years, this block and the house where the call was mapped have resulted in a murder, several shots fired, several fights, domestic disputes, and wanted persons.

As I approached the area, officers already on scene were heard on the radio requesting additional officers. In the background of the radio, you could hear yelling and sounds of a disturbance. Then PFC Stogner 450 stated on the radio the signal code for a fight.

As I approached [2600 BLOCK] Johnston, there were over 50 people in the front yard; they were pushing each other, acting out violently, tumultuously, and in a highly agitated manner. I observed PFC Sasser 486 and PFC Stogner had one female handcuffed and were trying to escort her off the property. Several females were within inches of the Officers, creating an immediate danger due to the number of persons and behaviors observed. The females were hindering and obstructing the arrest of the other female in violation of OCGA 16-10-24.

Two females were trying to incite the situation as I stepped towards them. I instructed them to step back and placed myself between the females and the Officers. With an open palm, I raised my hand and touched the females somewhere near the shoulder, telling them to move back.

One female, later identified as MACHAYA PHANTEJAH ROBINSON, pushed my arm away and immediately began yelling, “f*ck off me bi*ch” continuing to yell, “f*ck you” and “Get off me bi*ch.” Machaya’s behavior did commit an assault by pushing my arm, obstructing and hindering me from my duties while she continued to yell, curse, and refuse commands.

I took physical control of her by her arm and led her toward my patrol vehicle. She was told to put her hands behind her back at the truck. At this point, she began to actively and violently resist by trying to pull away, refusing to put her arms behind her back, and continuing to obstruct. As I was trying to handcuff her left arm, she turned around and struck me in the left side of my face with her right hand. Myself and PFC Stogner then took her to the ground in an attempt to gain control and place her into custody. Machaya did commit the offense of obstruction with violence by striking me with closed fists.

While trying to place her into handcuffs, PFC Stogner had her in a position where Machaya bit her hand. After a moment, we were able to put her in handcuffs and then tried to seat her in the patrol vehicle. Machaya continued to yell curses and began to use racial epithets, referring to officers as “crackers.” While trying to seat her in the patrol truck, she continued to resist violently, repeatedly kicking me in the face, head, and upper body.

Officers were able to get her into the truck, where she began to kick the windows and prisoner barrier. Other people at the party gathered around the car, some telling her to calm down, but at least one person opened the door. I moved to try and shut the door when she began kicking me again. I was able to shut the door.

A female arrived who identified herself as Machaya’s mother, and I tried to explain the incident, but Machaya’s behavior continued to deteriorate. She also had maneuvered her cuffs to the front. She was wildly kicking the doors and windows. I left the area and drove emergency traffic to the Glynn County Detention Center.

Detention was advised that we were bringing in a violent and combative female who already assaulted two officers.

During transport, she made numerous threats to harm Officers, stating she would reach around the partition and grab me, which would have caused the vehicle to crash and harmed us both. She continued to yell and curse, stating she “beat” officers.

On arrival at Detention, she continued to act out and had to be physically removed from the truck. As PFC Jenkins 429 tried to carry her into booking, Machaya kicked Sergeant Nolen 473. Officers carried her into booking and then placed her on the ground due to her behaviors, kicking, fighting, and trying to break free from our grasp. Detention instructed that she be seated on the bench in the Officer’s workroom even though her behavior was not controlled and was dangerous to all.

During a search of her purse for her identification, I located two colorful plastic pouches containing a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana. A booking form and victim notification were completed and then presented to booking deputies. Machaya was released to the custody of the Sheriff.

Machaya did commit felony obstruction of law enforcement officers in violation of OCGA 16-10-24, to wit she did “knowingly and willfully resists, obstructs, or opposes any law enforcement officer…..doing violence (PUNCHING AND KICKING) to the person of such officer (CPL WILSON)”.

She did violate “OCGA 16-5-23.1 Battery” to wit, “A person (MACHAYA) commits the offense of battery when he or she intentionally causes substantial physical harm (LACERATION TO HAND FROM BITE) or visible bodily harm to another (PFC STOGNER).”

She did violate “OCGA 16-5-23.1 Battery” to wit, “A person (MACHAYA) commits the offense of battery when he or she intentionally causes substantial physical harm (SCRATCHES AND MARKS) or visible bodily harm to another (CPL WILSON).”

She did violate “OCGA 16-5-23 – Simple battery” to wit ” a) A person (Machaya) commits the offense of simple battery when he or she either:(1) Intentionally makes physical contact (KICKED) of an insulting or provoking nature with the person of another (SGT NOLEN).”

Machaya did also possess suspected marijuana and is being charged with possession of drug-related objects following past BPD directives.

PFC Stogner was treated for her injury at Southeast Georgia Health System-Brunswick. Cpl Wilson is not exhibiting any obvious symptoms of concussion at the time of this report.

[NARRATIVE #2 on May 26, 2025]

On 05/26/25 around 1100 hours hours I responded to the area of [2600 BLOCK] Johnston St in reference to a fight. I arrived on scene and observed Cpl. Wilson and Ofc. Stogner on the ground, tussling with a female. A large crowd was gathering around them, yelling and getting closer. I began pushing people off and telling them to back up. I was the only officer keeping the crowd back at this point. The subjects were cursing and making threats and there were to many people to be able to act with an arrest.

Once the female on the ground was placed in handcuffs. I assisted Cpl. Wilson with getting her in the back of his vehicle. The offender was kicking and screaming at Cpl. Wilson and she would not get into the patrol vehicle. I walked around to the drivers back seat of the patrol vehicle and pulled the offender by her arms and upper body into the back seat of the vehicle. The offender began kicking the windows, aggressively and a male and female opened the rear drivers door to the patrol vehicle. I yelled step back and pushed one of the parties away.

Cpl. Wilson and I ran lights and sirens to the jail. The offender was attempting to get out of her handcuffs, cursing, making threats, and kicking the glass. I advised dispatch to let jail staff know that this offender is combative and assaulted two officers and we need there assistance.

Officers arrived at the jail and no deputies came to assist. PFC. Jenkins picked the offender up out of the vehicle and she began kicking officers and screaming. I grabbed her legs and she was placed on the ground in the lobby. Deputies advised officers to place the offender in the intake room to complete her abis.

I left the jail and went back to Johnston St. to assist officers. There was still a large crowd and subjects were not listening to police and were continuing to cause disturbances and would not get out of the road. I made the decision to advise officers to leave the scene and gather at another location to form a game plan, if we had to respond again. We were out numbered at this point and there were to many subjects to control and this became an officer safety issue.

Officers responded multiple times throughout the night for fight calls and disturbances at the above location.

[NARRATIVE #3 on May 26, 2025]

On 05/26/2025, I responded to [2600 BLOCK] Johnston St in reference to a domestic call involving a female and male. There was a large active party currently going on at the time of Officers arrival.

While trying to locate the possible female victim, I was standing in the road of [2600 BLOCK] Johsnton st when I observed a large crowd gathered in a circular shape. I could her a female voice yelling and cussing stating ” let her step up let her step up.” I then observed a black female later identified as Sequoia Hardee start swing with bothe her right and left hands on a unidentified black female wearing all black. I began giving loud verbal commands “stop your going to get peppered sprayed” as I entered into the yard.

As I approached the two females fighting I had to push several females out of the way in order to grab Hardee away from the female. Before I could grab Hardee she began trying to walk away and onto the front porch steps of the residence. I was able to grab onto Hardee and pull her away from the steps. As I was attempting to place Hardee into handcuffs, she kept pulling away from me, causing us both to fall down on to the grass. Once on the ground I was able to place Hardee into handcuffs.

After placing handcuffs on Hardee, I picked her up off the ground and began walking her to a Brunswick Police patrol car to place her in the back seat. While trying to have the patrol car back seat unlocked by the assiting officers, I observed two other Officers place a second female into handcuffs, and in the back seat of Cpl. Wilson back seat. At this time, I observed a large crowd of 50-60 people crowd the Officers which were blocking the people from approaching the back door of the truck. I observed this large group of people yelling ans cussing at the Officers, and even attempting to open the door of the patrol vehicle to free the person under arrest.

I then observed two of the officers fall down on the ground and several people fall down on top of them. Due to the severity of the Officers and there situation, I left Hardee standing at the patrol vehicle and ran over to assist these officers who were in a deadly force situation. I never told Hardee she was free to leave. After assisting the Officers with crowd control I walked back to the patrol vehicle which I left Hardee and she was no longer standing there. I was not able to locate the handcuffs in the area of where she was standing either.

Myself and assisting Offices began canvassing the area in an attempt to locate Hardee but was unseccesfull. The follwing day, I was given back the handcuffs which were returned by Sgt. Futch to Cpl. Wilson. After being able to identify Hardee I secured warrants for the follwong charges

[NARRATIVE #4 on May 26, 2025]

On the above date I Pfc. Stogner #450 responded to [2600 BLOCK] Johnston Street in reference to this case. After already being out to this location for a noise complaint the callout this time was for a fight. When I arrived on scene I did not observed anyone fighting however after minutes passed I observed two females fighting in the front yard of [2600 BLOCK] Johnson Street and a group of individuals yelling/surrounding them.

Myself, Pfc. Sasser #486 and Cpl. Wilson #407 began to run and attempt to break up the fight. I was able to pull one female off and released her when I observed Pfc. Sasser attempting to detain another female. I assisted him with the female in which was on the ground and was placed into double hinged handcuffs.

Pfc. Sasser then began to walk her to his patrol vehicle when I observed Cpl. Wilson attempting to detain another female near his patrol vehicle. I then ran over to assist Cpl. Wilson in which the female would not give us her arms. I then put my arm around the female’s upper shoulder and upper body area to restrain her in which all three of us then fell to the ground.

During the ground fight my left hand was positioned between the ground and the female’s head in which she bit my left hand. Cpl. Wilson was able to finish handcuffing her and during the attempt to put her in the rear of his vehicle the female kicked Cpl. Wilson in the face repeatedly. Once the female was in the vehicle she continued to kick the back windows and was acting in a wild-like manner.

The female was then transported to the CDC by Cpl. Wilson. I then went to the ER for injuries to my left hand. I had a open laceration to my left hand that was bleeding. I was treated for my injuries and released from the hospital.

[NARRATIVE #6 on July 01, 2025]

On Tuesday, July 01, 2025, I, Corporal Earl F. Wilson #407, was on duty with the Brunswick Police (BPD) Patrol A-2. I was in full BPD patrol uniform and equipped with a digital body-worn Axon camera. My vehicle for the day was the marked patrol truck 20-2.

At about 1231 hours, BPD Officers attempted to locate a wanted person at [1800 BLOCK] Third Street. Upon contact with two male residents, we inquired if ZYKEIRIA (THOMAS) was present at the residence. One male stated she had left about thirty minutes earlier. The other male stated she had not been at the house for three days. Officers informed the men that Zykeiria had outstanding warrants, and if she were found at the residence, they would be subject to arrest.

Officers were conducting surveillance in the area when a Jeep Patriot, parked at the residence, left with two people inside the vehicle. The vehicle drove east on 3rd Street, then north on Johnston, then east on Lincoln Street. At the intersection of Lincoln and Cleburne, the driver made a right turn without coming to a complete stop at the stop sign. The vehicle continued south on Cleburne before turning west on 3rd. The car was then driving on the left side of the road in the opposite lane of travel, turning left onto Bartow Street.

I activated my emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was walking away from the car, and as I walked towards her vehicle, she stated something to the effect go ahead and get her.

The wanted person, ZYKEIRIA THOMAS, then exited the vehicle and was told to put her hands behind her back. She refused to do so and said dont touch me bi*ch. I pulled my department-issued Taser 10 T19E67014, pointing it at her and giving her loud, clear verbal commands to place her hands behind her back. She complied at this time.

As Officers attempted to place her in handcuffs, she began to yell and curse making statements such as “bi*ch a*s ni*ga”, “motherfu*king cracka”, slurs and racial epithets. When Zykeiria was told to separate her feet, she refused to do so, and officers had to hook her ankles with theirs and give her repeated verbal commands. She continued to yell, curse, and offer physical resistance to Officers attempting to search her. She was searched and her handcuffs were double-locked, then checked for a proper fit.

Zykeiria was seated in the right rear of the patrol vehicle and then transported to Glynn County Detention Center to be booked and lodged. At detention, I read the six criminal warrants related to incidents 25BP12925 and 25BP14158 and then signed for their service. Booking forms and victim notifications were completed. The warrants, booking forms, and victims’ forms were presented to booking deputies
