On March 3, 2026 I was dispatched to the area of US 41 N and Mauldin rd in reference to a Vehicle Vs pedestrian accident. While enroute, I was advised that the Vehicle that hit the Pedestrian was attempting to get the Pederstrian in the Vehicle.

A witness [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [REDACTED] said the subject that was hit got into the Vehicle and it started traveling South on US 41. Officers were able to locate the Vehicle on South wall St at its intersection with Peter St and performed a traffic stop.

Officer Hererra spoke with the male passenger/victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [VICTIM #1], while I spoke with the driver/Offender Odom. I observed her shirt covered in blood and asked [REDACTED] what happened and she stated that her and [VICTIM #1] were at the Pine ridge apartments and got into an argument over money. Her story was vague and didnt make sense, She then told me that she was at the stop sign on Woodland Cir when she accidently backed into [VICTIM #1].

I went and spoke with [VICTIM #1] who was covered in blood with a visible would to the leg that appeared to be a bone slightly sticking out through the skin and a bloody mouth and head. I asked him what happened and he stated “I fell”.

I advised him to tell me the truth and he said that “he was clumsy and fell walking”. I advised him that his injuries were not consistent with just merely falling and he advised thats all that happened nd denied to comment further.

I observed a large dent in on the passenger front quarter panel as well as the passenger mirror damaged/broken and bent back in towards the passenger window. There was also scrap marks down the side of the vehicle where obvious rubbing occurred displacing the dirt from the paint on the Vehicle.

Deputy Anderson with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, Trooper Story, and Lt Defoor all arrived on scene and I explained to them that Odom stated the incident happened on a county road and the information was given to the Deputies. Sgt Kirby, Lt Jones, and Capt Kirby all arrived on scene and began collaborating and talking about the incident on whos jurisdiction it was in and what type of charges needed to be filed.

Sgt Kirby contacted her detectives and they went to the scene and found “blood drops” on the concrete near the north entrance of Battlefield building supply, and they advised that they thought that it would be city.

I told Lt Defoor that I would take the charges and placed Odom in handcuffs checked for proper fit and double locked and Officer Awad patted her down and transported her to the Gordon County Jail. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Advent Gordon by Advent EMS. The Vehicle was removed by Gordon County Wrecker.

Warrants were taken for Odom for Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated assault.
