[NARRATIVE #1 on July 31, 2023]
On July 31st, 2023 at approximately 2331 hours, Deputy P.E. LIVELY with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division responded to 1116 Pearl Johnson Road SE in reference to a physical domestic in progress.
While en route, Gordon 911 advised responding deputies a firearm and knives were possibly involved. Gordon 911 also advised responding deputies that the firearm was then put away. Gordon 911 advised responding deputies that the subject who was being aggressive was BLAKE ALEXANDER DUNGAN.
Once on scene Deputy LIVELY met with two parties whom were sitting inside their respective vehicles, Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2]. Detective MAZARIEGOS was already on scene and began talking to the alleged victim, Mr. [VICTIM #1] which is BLAKE’s brother.
Deputy LIVELY asked both Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2] if they knew of BLAKE’s whereabouts or if BLAKE was armed. Neither party knew where BLAKE was and if he was armed, but [VICTIM #1] stated BLAKE fled on foot out prior to deputies arrival Due to BLAKE possibly being armed.
Deputies canvassed the area in an attempt to locate BLAKE while Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2], and [VICTIM #1] stood by with detective MAZARIEGOS. Deputies walked the property in an attempt to locate BLAKE but were unsuccessful. Deputies returned to the residence and cleared the house.
While clearing what deputies were told by [WITNESS #1] (BLAKE’s MOM), Deputies located a tent. When deputies opened the tent, a marijuana grow could be seen. Deputies then left the grow, and checked another room where [WITNESS #1] stated BLAKE could possibly be hiding. Upon opening the second room, Deputies could then observe another marijuana grow. Deputies then left, and secured the residence.
Sgt. DANIEL’s Contacted the proper chain of command in reference to the marijuana grow. Deputy LIVELY then began interviewing each party involved. Deputy LIVELY began speaking to [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated he had been living at 1116 Pearl Johnson Road since BLAKE had been incarcerated.
[VICTIM #1] stated BLAKE had been drinking. BLAKE confronted [VICTIM #1] stating he should not be there and that he would kill him if he did not get off of he property. [VICTIM #1] stated a physical altercation then began. [VICTIM #1] stated at some point a shoving match began and BLAKE pushed him down onto a barbed wire fence which caused lacerations on [VICTIM #1]’s hand which produced blood.
[VICTIM #1] also stated at some point BLAKE retrieved a pistol from his person and claims BLAKE fired a round at him but missed. Deputies thoroughly searched the area described by [VICTIM #1] for evidence of a shooting, but were unable to find any casings, fragments, or any firearms.
[VICTIM #1] stated BLAKE then observed him calling Gordon 911 and began to flee. Deputy LIVELY asked [VICTIM #1] if he was willing to complete a witness statement. [VICTIM #1] declined and stated he did not wish to press any charges and that BLAKE just needed help.
Deputy LIVELY then began speaking with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated BLAKE had been drinking and when BLAKE drinks he gets irate. [WITNESS #1] stated BLAKE and she were in a verbal altercation. [WITNESS #1] stated BLAKE then became irate with [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated BLAKE and [VICTIM #1] also had got into a verbal altercation due to BLAKE believing [VICTIM #1] should not be at the residence.
[WITNESS #1] stated she heard BLAKE tell [VICTIM #1] that he was going to kill [VICTIM #1] if he did not leave the property. [WITNESS #1] stated she then went and sat in her vehicle and shortly after heard what she described as a “BB gun” go off. [WITNESS #1] described this altercation as a “Family Feud” and that she did not want to get anyone in trouble. Deputy LIVELY asked [WITNESS #1] if she was willing to complete a voluntary statement. [WITNESS #1] declined.
Deputy LIVELY then began speaking with [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] stated she was over at the residence and heard BLAKE and [VICTIM #1] in an altercation. [WITNESS #2] stated she too heard BLAKE threaten [VICTIM #1] stating he would kill him due to him being on the property.
[WITNESS #2] stated she heard a loud bang. [WITNESS #2] stated she did not witness the altercation just heard it. [WITNESS #2] stated she too went and sat in her personal car while it was taking place. Deputy LIVELY asked [WITNESS #2] if she would complete a witness statement but she too declined.
