On October 31, 2025, at approximately 0034 hours I, Officer Ayala responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a physical domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, I met with the victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY] she said the offender (Mr. Whatley) and her were in her bedroom having oral sex. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said an argument began after Mr. Whatley told her she was not as clean as his ex-girlfriend. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she then got upset and began to push him away.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said this is when Mr. Whatley began getting upset and began arguing with her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she then attempted to get Mr. Whatley to leave by pushing him out of her room and attempting to close the door. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Mr. Whatley then began hitting the door until the door opened. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Mr. Whatley had broken the door while he was hitting it.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said they both then moved towards the living room area and continued arguing. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she was attempting to get Mr. Whatley to leave her residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said while attempting to get Mr. Whatley to leave, he turned around and grabbed her by her neck area with his hands and began to squeezing her neck resulting in strangulation. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said during this moment, she los consciousness for approximately five to ten seconds.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said while Mr. Whatley began to grab her by her neck, he had scratched her chin and ripped her shirt on the left shoulder area. I could also observe the ripped shirt along with redness on her neck and chin. Photographs were obtained and uploaded via Axon Capture.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said after she was able to release herself, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] picked up a Tequila bottle and threw it at her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she felt like she was going to be hit. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Mr. Whatley had also picked up a Welcome sign and broke it on her head.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she just wanted Mr. Whatley to leave her alone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then advised Mr. Whatley had hit her in the past also, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was able to show me her bruises and marks from prior physical fights between her and Mr. Whatley. Pictures were obtained and uploaded via Axon Capture.

I then spoke with Mr. Whatley. He said they did get into a fight. Mr. Whatley said the bruises [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had were from a fight between her and other females on a prior date. Mr. Whatley said [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was intoxicated and was arguing with him.

Mr. Whatley did not provide details as to what took place but did state once he got into his vehicle to leave the property, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] ran outside towards his vehicle and struck him in the face with her hand. Mr. Whatley said [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then got his keys from his vehicle and threw them. Mr. Whatley said he just wants his keys so he could leave the property. I then asked him if he wanted to press charges and Mr. Whatley said no.

I then determined this incident did not fall into a FVA incident due to Mr. Whatley and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] not living together, they are not married or have any children together.

I then asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] she would like to press charges against Mr. Whatley. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were very hesitant but advised she would like to press charges.

I then placed Mr. Whatley under arrest and sat him in the right rear passenger seat of my patrol vehicle. I then transported him to the Gordon County Jail without incident where he was turned over to jail staff for booking.

I applied for state warrants for Aggravated Assault, Battery, and Simple Assault.

A victim notification was also filled out while at the jail.
