On August 7 2023 at approximately 2253 hours I, Offcer Ayala responded to 711 S Wall St (24/7 Coin Laundry) in reference to three suspcious males who were possibly drunk.

Upon arrival I met with the offenders (Mr. Reyes and Mr. Torres), they said they were sitting there “hanging out”. Mr. Torres said he was going to sleep there due to him being homeless. Mr. Reyes said he was going to go home on his bicycle. I advised Mr. Reyes he could not leave on his bicycle due to him having a half full container of “Natural Ice” beer can in his possession. Mr. Reyes and Mr. Torres both said they had been drinking prior to police arrival.

I then advised both males to call someone who could pick them up and take them home. Mr. Reyes said he did not have a phone and could not call anyone. Mr. Torres said he could not call anyone due to it being late. I then located one open container of Busch Light beer where Mr. Torres was sitting.

I attempted to give both males an opportunity to call someone but they both did not want to call anyone. I was able to then locate three more containers of Busch Light beer where Mr. Torres was sitting. All containers of alcohol were poured out and disposed of.

I then advised both males they were both under arrest for Public Drunk. I then handcuffed Mr. Reyes checking for proper fitment and double locking them for safety. I then observed Officer Azar handcuff Mr. Torres. I then placed Mr. Reyes in the rear passenger seat of my patrol vehicle.

I then transported Mr. Reyes to the Gordon County Jail without further incident. Officer Carmona transported Mr. Torres to the Gordon County Jail without further incident. Mr. Reyes bicycle was placed in the impound lot of the Calhoun Police Department.
