On December 11, 2025 at approximately 0349 hours Deputy W.M KING with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Brooksmill Dr Calhoun, Gordon County, Georgia in reference to a physical domestic dispute.
Upon arrival Deputy KING spoke to the complainant [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated at approximately 2330 hours her husband JUSTIN FOX was intoxicated and went to their room and started to load up his shotgun. [VICTIM #1] stated once he loaded the gun, JUSTIN took the shotgun and placed it in his mouth. [VICTIM #1] stated she screamed for him to stop, but then he pointed it at her person scaring her. [VICTIM #1] stated he unloaded the gun, so she took it from him and hid it under the bed. [VICTIM #1] said he then left the residence. At approximately 0000 hours [VICTIM #1] stated JUSTIN returned home and went to bed. [VICTIM #1] stated at that time she was also in bed with him.
At approximately 0345 hours, [VICTIM #1] stated JUSTIN pushed her out of their bed. [VICTIM #1] stated when she got back up from falling; JUSTIN swung on her and missed. [VICTIM #1] stated she pushed JUSTIN, so he shoved her and pinned her to the bed. [VICTIM #1] stated he head butted her in the mouth area, and started punching her in the face area with a closed fist multiple times. [VICTIM #1]’s right side face cheek was swollen and bruised. [VICTIM #1] had a busted lip covered with dry blood. During the altercation, [VICTIM #1] stated she was screaming to her daughter, [JUVENILE #1] for help and to call 911.
[VICTIM #1] stated she tried leaving in her vehicle, but JUSTIN moved his vehicle directly behind hers to prevent her from leaving in her vehicle.
Deputy KING spoke to JUSTIN who stated he was asleep and he woke up to [VICTIM #1] punching him in the stomach area. JUSTIN stated he swung back at [VICTIM #1] twice in the face area. JUSTIN said there were no guns inside the residence. JUSTIN stated he did not move his vehicle, but after a consented search of his person, Deputy KING located the keys to his vehicle inside of his pants pocket. Deputy KING did not observe any marks on his stomach area, but did observe a red mark on his forehead area.
Deputy KING spoke to [JUVENILE #1] who stated she heard her mother, and stepfather arguing and yelling inside their room. [JUVENILE #1] said she heard her mother screaming for help and for her to call 911. [JUVENILE #1] stated none of her other siblings heard the argument.
Upon a consented search of [VICTIM #1]’s room, Deputy KING located a single action 16 gauge shotgun (Serial #AM320320) under the bed. DEPUTY KING placed JUSTIN under arrest by placing handcuffs on his wrists behind his back and then checked for proper fit and escorted him to the back of the patrol car. DEPUTY KING transported JUSTIN to the Gordon County Jail and turned over to the jail staff.
DEPUTY KING turned the shotgun over into evidence. DEPUTY KING filled out a notification of release form. State warrants were secured for JUSTIN for Battery FVA 16-5-23.1, Possession of firearms by convicted felons and first offender probationers 16-11-131, Aggravated assault 16-5-21, Reckless conduct 16-5-60, Pointing or aiming gun or pistol at another 16-11-102, Cruelty to children in the 3rd degree 16-5-70
