On June 27, 2026 at approximately 0309 hours Sgt. Kenny Weston with the Cairo Police Department responded to Archbold Grady in reference to an Irate individual in the ER.
Once on scene contact was made with D’Marco Murphy who advised that the ER staff was not treating him right. ER staff stated that Murphy was unruly and very irate so they called law enforcement. ER Staff went on to state that Murphy threw meds on the floor and picked up equipment and began hit on it. Murphy was asked to leave the ER due to his behavior and he began to walk toward the roadway.
While speaking with the staff a nurse exited the ER and stated that Murphy had a 1013 signed, but they had not found placement yet and still had to do his labs but were unable to complete due to the way he was acting. Contact was made with Murphy in front of the hospital and Murphy was advised that he had to return back to the hospital. Murphy began to state that he was really about to show out on the way back to the ER. Once back at the ER Murphy was asked could he return back in the ER and act right and Murphy stated if they treated him right.
Due to the previous incident and Murphy being disorderly the hospital staff felt that it would be unsafe for them to be there alone with Murphy due to him already making indirect threats towards staff members. Murphy was arrested and transported to the Cairo Police Department where he refused to be processed and was later transported to the Grady County Detention Center for housing.
