VEGreen 2 Go, located at 2605 Pleasant Hill Rd Ste 400, Duluth, GA 30096, received a score of 53 points out of a possible 100 points during their 09/30/2026 inspection by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The violations noted by the inspector were:

Violation #1:
1-2A: .03(2)(a)-(n),(p)Due to multiple risk factor violations during today’s inspection resulting in an unsatisfactory score, the person-in-charge is not practicing active managerial control. It is the responsibility of the person in charge to ensure compliance with the food code by demonstrating active managerial control within their facility. (Pf)

Violation #2:
2-1B: .03(5)(c)Observed employee leave kitchen and return back to kitchen multiple times and handle food without washing hands. Employees must wash hands and exposed portions of arms immediately before engaging in food preparation including working with exposed food, clean equipment and utensils, and unwrapped single-service articles, and: 1) after touching exposed body parts; 2) after using the toilet room; 3) After caring for or handling service animals or aquatic animals; 4)after coughing, sneezing, using tobacco, eating, or drinking; 5) after handling soiled equipment or utensils; 6) during food preparation, as often as needed to remove soil and contamination and to prevent cross contamination when changing tasks; 7) when switching between working with raw food and working with ready-to-eat food; 8) before putting on gloves; 9) after engaging in other activities that contaminate hands; 10) a second time when entering the kitchen from using the restroom. (P)
Corrective Actions: Employee washed hands.

Violation #3:
2-2B: .03(5)(k)1&2Observed employee drinking in kitchen. Employees shall consume food and drink only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas and food storage areas (unless drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee’s hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles). Corrective Actions: Employee stopped drinking in kitchen.

Violation #4:
6-1C: .04(6)(d)Observed multiple containers of lo mein and cooked broccoli cooling for longer than 2 hours above 70F. Cooked time/temperature control for safety food shall be cooled: 1) within 2 hours from 135°F (57°C) to 70°F (21°C); and 2) within a total of 6 hours from 135°F (57°C) to 41°F (5°C) or below. (P)
Corrective Actions: Items were discarded.

Violation #5:
6-2: .04(6)(g)Observed multiple items in prep cooler (alfredo, “beef” strips, chicken, tofu, tomato, lettuce) prepared more than 24 hours ago without date marks. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety foods prepared and held in a food establishment for more than 24-hours shall be clearly marked to indicate the date of prep or the date by with the food shall be consumed, sold, or discarded when held at 41°F (5°C) or below for a maximum of 7 days. The day of preparation shall be counted as Day 1. (Pf)
Corrective Actions: Items were date marked.

Violation #6:
8-2B: .07(6)(g)Observed multiple containers of chlorine sanitizer at too high of a concentration. Chemical sanitizers, including chemical sanitizing solutions generated on-site, and other chemical antimicrobials used on food contact surfaces shall not exceed stated concentrations as listed on the EPA-registered label, in 40 CFR 180.940 and 40 CFR 180.2020, (100 ppm for chlorine and 400 ppm for quaternary ammonia). (P)
Corrective Actions: Sanitizers were remade.

Violation #7:
8-2B: .07(6)(b)Observed multiple working containers of chlorine sanitizer without labels. Working containers used for storing poisonous or toxic materials such as cleaners and sanitizers taken from bulk supplies shall be clearly and individually identified with the common name of the material. (Pf)
Corrective Actions: Items were labeled.

Violation #8:
10D: .04(4)(d)Observed containers of salt, mushroom powder, and flour without labels. **SECOND CONSECUTIVE VIOLATION** Except for containers holding food that can be readily and unmistakably recognized, such as dry pasta, working containers holding food or food ingredients that are removed from their original packages for use in the food establishment, such as cooking oils, flour, herbs, potato flakes, salt, spices, and sugar shall be clearly and legibly identified, in English, with the common name of the food. (C)
Corrective Actions: Items were labeled.

Violation #9:
11A: .04(6)(e)Observed improper cooling methods for pans of lo mein and broccoli. Items were in large pans, with plastic lids tightly on them. Foods shall be cooled using one or more methods approved by the health authority (e.g., smaller batches, thinner portions, using rapid cooling equipment, stirring food in containers placed in an ice water bath, using containers that facilitate heat transfer and ice as an ingredient; placing items in the walk-in cooler or walk-in freezer partially or completely uncovered as long as the food is protected from overhead contamination). (Pf, C)
Corrective Actions: Proper cooling methods were discussed. Items were discarded.

Violation #10:
12A: .04(4)(q)Observed multiple boxes and containers of frozen food on floor in walk-in cooler. Food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food: 1) in a clean dry location; (C) 2) where it is not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination; (C) and 3) at least 6 inches (15 cm) above the floor. (C)
Corrective Actions: Items were removed from floor.

Violation #11:
12C: .04(4)(m)Observed multiple wiping cloths stored on prep counters in kitchen. Observed wiping cloth container on floor. Observed wiping cloths in this container stored at too low of a concentration. Cloths in-use for wiping counters and other equipment surfaces shall be stored in sanitizer of the appropriate concentration in-between uses and laundered daily. (C) Wet wiping sanitizer containers shall be stored off the floor and used in a manner that prevents contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, single-service, or single-use articles. (C)
Corrective Actions: Wiping cloths were placed into container. Container was removed from floor, and sanitizer was remade.

Violation #12:
18: .07(2)(m)Observed screen door at back door with large holes in mesh and no weather stripping. When windows or doors of a food service establishment are kept open for ventilation, the openings shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by: 1) 16 mesh to 1 inch screens; (C) 2) a properly designed and installed air curtain; (C) or 3) other effective means. (C)

Note: A follow-up inspection will occur on or before 10/09/2026. Correct violations or permit will be suspended.

Note: A Required Additional Routine inspection will occur within 12 months.
