On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, I, Officer N. Epperson, arrived at [200 BLOCK] Pine Forrest Circle Apartment [REDACTED] in reference to a neighbor dispute with a gun; one shot was fired.
Upon my arrival, I was met outside by a white male named [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said his neighbor pointed a gun at him and told him he would kill him. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] where his neighbor was, and he said next door in apartment [REDACTED].
Chief Jones and Captain Ferguson arrived with me. Captain Ferguson went to the back of the apartment, and Chief Jones and I approached the front. As Chief Jones knocked on the front door, Captain Ferguson advised that he had someone in the back. I went to the back, and Captain Ferguson had Andrew Guy Davis in handcuffs. I heard Captain Ferguson tell Davis that he was not under arrest, that he was in cuffs for safety until further could be determined.
I escorted Davis to the front of the apartments, where we waited for further instructions. Davis wanted to know what was going on, and I told him that we were there for a dispute involving a gun. I told Davis that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised 9-1-1 that Davis had a gun, pointed at [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and fired a shot. Davis told me that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was mentally ill and that he did not have a gun. Davis also told me that [REDACTED] was killing cats outside by throwing a knife, almost striking Davis’s fiancée, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Investigator P. Bartholomew was now on scene, and he read Davis the Miranda warning from my blue card. Davis agreed to talk with Bartholomew. I heard Davis tell Bartholomew that he did not have a gun. Bartholomew told Davis that his job was to get to the truth of what happened. Bartholomew asked Davis where [REDACTED]’s gun was, and Davis said he did not know. Bartholomew said he was worried that the gun could be unsecured and that there were small children in the area. Davis told Bartholomew that the gun was last seen under the upstairs bathroom cabinet.
I was told that Davis was under arrest and to transport him to Habersham County Jail. Before I put Davis in my car, I made sure his handcuffs were checked for fit and double locked. I emptied Davis’s pockets, and I located two white tablets with J over 44, four pink in color round tablets with w over 241, and six orange in color round tablets with N/P on top and 0/11 on bottom, and on the other side three over 0. I transported Davis to Habersham County Jail and released him to detention, pending warrants from Investigator Bartholomew. I secured all tablets in the evidence locker number 5.
