On October 17, 2025 at approximately 09:40 I Ofc. Baker responded code 3 emergency to the location of [100 BLOCK] Sunshine Circle in reference to a physical domestic that was in progress/already occurred.

Upon my arrival myself and Lt. Newkirk attempted to locate where the incident had actually occurred we spoke to neighbors and other nearby with no luck, I ended up speaking with the resident of [100 BLOCK] and he told me the neighbors at [100 BLOCK] had some sort of altercation but he just suspected they were being playful, I could not get anyone to come to the back door so I went around the front and noticed the door was wide open, I got LT. Newkirk to start my way.

I could hear inside someone coughing and crying, I announced myself multiple times which making an entrance and located [VICTIM #1] in her bathroom crying and not able to talk from coughing so much. I got Ems in route for injuries, [VICTIM #1] told me that her boyfriend identified as Christopher Harley, had came into the house after getting off work and had started an argument and started choking her with his hands as well as shoving her up against the wall with his hand by her face. And that he tried to throw a plate at her but missed and it struck the door and shattered everywhere, as well as some things in one of the bathrooms were broken as well that held supplies.

She explained to me that he had left on foot and she suspected him to either be behind the apartment in the kudzu thicket or he had gotten a ride to his aunts house at the Peaks Apartments. Lt. Newkirk asked Baldwin unit 404 Cpl Groves if he could be in route with K9 hulk to see if he could track him. Cpl Groves arrived on scene and started tracking with Sro Okelley from the sheriffs department.

K9 hulk was able to get onto a scent as Christohper had discarded one of his backpack close to the kudzu patch and a neighbor on top of the hill had watched him leave into. K9 hulk tracked until he found Christopher and Cpl Groves gave multiple verbal command to Christopher to stop to which he ignored and attempted to escape, K9 hulk was deployed and Christopher was apprehended and detained. I helped get Christopher out of the creek bottom where he had fled too and turned him over to Ems to be checked out from his K9 Bites.

Once Christopher was out of the creek bottom and had calmed down enough to talk to me he asked me if I could retrieve both of his backpacks he had to go with him, I located both backpacks, one in the kudzu patch and another in the creek bottom, both backpacks had a odor of marijuana coming from them so I searched them for contraband and found a scale, a grinder with a green leafy substance located inside of it, wraps, lighters and a children’s vitamin bottle with a plastic baggy inside containing 5 grams of suspected marijuana as well as a clear glass pipe with a brunt white residue inside of it.

Ultimately Christopher had to be transported to the Habersham county Hospital to be treated for his injuries on his left arm/wrist before being transported to the Habersham county jail for further processing. Once the hospital cleared Christopher he was recuffed checked for fit and double locked before being placed in the backseat of my patrol car to be transported, at this time I explained to Christopher that he was under arrest for criminal trespass, aggravated assault, possession of drug related object, possession of marijuana and obstruction on a law enforcement officer.

Christopher was then transported to the Habersham count jail for further processing.
