On March 14, 2026 at approximately 2030 hours, DEPUTY JUSTIN MCCLAIN was dispatched and responded code 1 to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Demorest, GA in reference to a verbal domestic.

Upon arrival, MCCLAIN made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated she had an argument with her husband, CHRISTOPHER WHISNANT (complainant/offender/wanted), when he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against the car.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated CHRISTOPHER was released from jail approximately a week ago and has been accusing her of cheating ever since. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she hasn’t seen CHRISTOPHER all day then he came home accusing her of cheating again. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated CHRISTOPHER was saying he was leaving and wanted a divorce. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was outside in the driveway while the incident was occurring.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated after arguing for a bit, CHRISTOPHER grabbed her by the arms and pushed her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated this is when CHRISTOPHER grabbed her by the throat and squeezed, cutting off her airway and preventing her from breathing. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she head butted CHRISTOPHER to get him away from her and this is when he left in his vehicle.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated CHRISTOPHER has never done this before and has no idea why he did it. While speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], MCCLAIN observed a red mark on the left side of her neck, along with cuts from CHRISTOPHER’s fingernail’s on the back of her left arm. Pictures were taken and are attached.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the neighbor’s across the street witnessed the entire incident.

MCCLAIN made contact with the neighbor, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated he witnessed CHRISTOPHER grab [REDACTED BY AGENCY] by the throat and shove her against the car. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he started walking towards them while yelling at CHRISTOPHER. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated CHRISTOPHER started walking towards him stating she’s cheating on me but then stopped and walked away.

A warrant for Agg. Assault-FVA was taken by MCCLAIN (warrant number 26MW0314F and was signed by JUDGE TRICIA HICE).
