[NARRATIVE #1 on January 11, 2026]
On January 11th, 2026 at approximately 2207hrs, I, Sgt. Limones was dispatched and responded code one to [100 BLOCK] Hillcrest St, Cornelia, GA in reference to a verbal domestic. Dispatch advised that [VICTIM #1] advised that a male was kicking the front door.
Upon arriving on scene I spoke with Ivan Moreno and I asked him if he could explain to me what happened, he said that [VICTIM #2] had called [WITNESS #1] (mother) saying that [VICTIM #1] was “putting hands on her”. [WITNESS #1] arrived at the residence and called Ivan Moreno, cousin of [VICTIM #2].
I spoke to [VICTIM #2] and asked what was going on tonight, [VICTIM #2] said she was involved in a argument with her husband [VICTIM #1] over her cheating on him which she said she wasn’t, [VICTIM #2] confirmed the argument was all verbal not physical.
[VICTIM #2] said the argument was loud and her children were home [VICTIM #3], [VICTIM #4], and [VICTIM #5]. [VICTIM #5] was scared and was under the impression that the argument was physical so she called her grandmother [WITNESS #1] to let her know what was going on.
I spoke with [VICTIM #1] and asked him the same question, [VICTIM #1] said he was arguing with [VICTIM #2] when all of a sudden [WITNESS #1] and Ivan arrived at his residence. [VICTIM #1] said that Ivan began kicking at the door telling [VICTIM #1] to come outside because he wanted to fight.
[VICTIM #1] explained whenever there is a issue at the house [WITNESS #1] and the rest of the family meddle in their business. [VICTIM #1] said that Ivan said that if he saw [VICTIM #1] on the road he was going to shoot him. [VICTIM #1] knows Ivan keeps guns at his house and is in fear that Ivan will do something to him out in the street. I asked [VICTIM #1] if he wanted to press charges and he said yes.
[VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] said that Ivan arrived at the residence he stormed to the front door, [VICTIM #2] was standing there (not injured) attempting to keep him from getting into the house by blocking the front door with her body. Ivan began kicking the door and yelling to [VICTIM #1] to come out because he wanted to fight, according to [VICTIM #2] Ivan knew that [VICTIM #5] was standing on the other side of the door, [VICTIM #5] opened the door as Ivan was kicking and the door and struck [VICTIM #5] in the right arm.
I asked [WITNESS #1] what brought her to the house she said the [VICTIM #5] had called her in fear because [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] were arguing ([WITNESS #1] could hear the arguing over the phone) and felt it was physical or going to be physical, since [VICTIM #1] is always mistreating [VICTIM #2]. [WITNESS #1] said she got a ride over to [VICTIM #2]’s house and contacted Ivan in process and asked him to meet her at their house.
I asked Ivan was [VICTIM #2] outside the residence when he approached the door, he said yes. I asked Ivan did she appear injured, or hurt he said no. I explained to Ivan that at the moment he realized that [VICTIM #2] was okay and not in any danger at that moment he should have calmed down. I went on to explain that [VICTIM #1] wanted to press charges against him and he said okay I got bond money. I attempted to explain to Ivan where things went wrong and he did not want to hear what I had to say.
At this time I instructed Ivan to place his hands behind his back, I applied handcuffs checking for proper fit and double lock. Ivan was searched incident to arrest; negative contraband. Ivan’s phone and wallet was given to family on scene with his permission.
I escorted Ivan to my patrol vehicle placing him in the right rear seat applying a seat belt across his lap for safety. I transported Ivan to the Habersham Detention Center and was turned over to the jail staff without further incident. I conducted a inspection of the rear seat and surrounding areas before and after transport; negative contraband.
Ivan was charged with Simple Assault (X’s 2), Disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass.

[NARRATIVE #2 on January 14, 2026]
On January 14th, 2026 I, Sgt. Limones was advised by our front office that [VICTIM #2] had come by the Cornelia PD looking for me to add photos to this report. Unfortunately I was not working at the time so [VICTIM #2] left her contact information for me to call her.
I called [VICTIM #2] via dispatch, [VICTIM #2] advised me that she had bruises on her leg, I asked how did she receive them and she said that when Ivan was kicking the door he also kicked her while attempting to kick the door. I asked [VICTIM #2] why she did not mention this while I was on scene, she replied her husband told her not to mention that.
I provided [VICTIM #2] my work email so she could forward me those pictures, but failed to do so. I contacted Officer Swinehart and asked if she could make contact with [VICTIM #2] and provide me those pictures, according to Officer Swinehart she verified my email with her and explained the importance of attaching those photos to this report. I yet have to see these photos.
