On Friday, March 20, 2026 at approximately 1552hrs I Deputy Jonathan Maney was dispatched to a harassment call at [1000 BLOCK] High Meadows Lks, Clarkesville GA. Dispatch stated that the callers husbands ex wife was at her house possible intoxicated and causing a scene. Dispatch advised the caller stated the ex wife had tried to run her over with her car. I responded in a code three (emergency equipment activated) status.
While en route to the residence Dispatch advised that the ex wife had left the scene in a white 2018 Ford Explorer. Upon my arrival that vehicle was not at the residence. I met with the caller identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that the offender was the ex wife of her husband [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the offender identified as Kathleen Lovell and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been divorced for 18 years and had three grown children.
I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] what happened and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that around 1524hrs she noticed a white car parked in the driveway. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] recognized the vehicle as it belonged to Lovell. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Lovell had started randomly showing back up stating she was still in love with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that approximately three weeks prior Lovell had came over and they all had a long talk. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she approached the vehicle and asked Lovell what she needed. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Lovell only answered with weird hand movements.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [REDACTED] approached the vehicle and Lovell starting screaming at him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Lovell tried to get out of the vehicle but [REDACTED BY AGENCY] pushed the door shut. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Lovell grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] arms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she went to the rear of the vehicle to get the tag number and Lovell started to back up at a high rate of speed causing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to jump out of the way. This action put [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in fear of great bodily harm or death. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Kathy then ran over a solar light and three bushes before striking a small tree in the yard before leaving at a high rate of speed.
While I was gathering information from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I overheard a radio call of a accident approximately five miles north of High Meadows Lake on Hwy 197 North involving Lovells vehicle. I immediately responded to the accident.
Upon my arrival to the accident I observed a white Ford Explorer approximately 75 feet down a embankment off the right shoulder of the roadway. The caller that reported the accident stated they could see flames coming from under the vehicle. I immediately grabbed my fire extinguisher and scaled down the embankment to the vehicle. I was able to identify Lovell as the driver. There was no flames at that time but smoke coming from under the vehicle. Lovell had a deep laceration to the right side of her face but was alert and stable.
While speaking with Lovell I observed her to have bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech. Lovell did admit to drinking and a open container of alcohol was later found in the vehicle. I remained on scene until Firefighters was able to extricate Lovell and get her into a med unit. GSP Trooper Vance Henry arrived and handled the accident report. Lovell was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failing to maintain lane. Trooper Henry handled those charges.
On March 21, 2026 I completed and was granted the following warrants from Honorable Judge Amy Thomas.
Aggravated Assault.
[End of Narrative]
