[NARRATIVE #1 on February 02, 2026]
On February 2, 2026, at approximately 1421 hours, I, Officer Nesbitt, had a walk-in complaint at the Cornelia Police Department. I was already on scene. I made contact with [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2], both employees of FedEx.
[VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] advised they were delivering a package to [200 BLOCK] Cox Street in Cornelia, Georgia. They stated the subject, later identified as Lavan Rambert, was sitting on the porch. They placed the package in the yard due to its weight. Rambert then told them they needed to place the package on the porch. [VICTIM #1] advised Rambert that the package was too heavy and that her shoulder was hurting, and they were unable to move it. Rambert again demanded that they place the package on the porch, and they again advised they could not.
Rambert then opened the passenger door of the FedEx truck, reached over [VICTIM #2], and attempted to pull the keys out of the ignition. [VICTIM #1] was able to remove the keys first and block Rambert from obtaining them. Rambert then exited the truck, and the FedEx employees left the scene and came to the police department.
[VICTIM #1] advised that the FedEx truck is equipped with cameras and that her manager would email the video to my city email address. On February 2, 2026, I did not receive any video. On February 3, 2026, I contacted the manager, [REDACTED], who advised that once she returned to her computer, she would send the video of the incident. As of today, February 4, 2026, I have still not received the video.
Today, Officer Newsome and I will attempt to make contact with Rambert to obtain his side of the incident. If Rambert admits to the offense, he will be arrested. If not, we will wait for the video footage before making an arrest. Both [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] advised that they was scared for their life during the incident.

[NARRATIVE #2 on February 04, 2026]
On February 4th, Officer Newsom and I went to [200 BLOCK] Cox Street to attempt to interview the subject, Lavan Rambert, but we had negative contact. Approximately two hours later, Rambert arrived at the Cornelia Police Department. Rambert advised that he saw officers at his residence through his Ring camera.
I spoke with Rambert and asked him about the incident involving the FedEx truck. Rambert advised that he only opened the passenger door. I informed Rambert that the FedEx truck was equipped with cameras and that the incident was recorded. Rambert then stated that he was mad but did not think he had done that. He advised that he did not think he entered the truck or attempted to grab the keys. I again informed Rambert that the incident was captured on camera. Rambert then stated that he was mad and that it was stupid of him to do that.
Rambert was then placed under arrest and secured in handcuffs with his hands behind his back. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for proper fit. Rambert was searched incident to arrest. He was transported to the Habersham County Jail for disorderly conduct. The rear seat of the patrol vehicle was checked and cleared before contact, before transport, and after transport.
A warrant was written. Still no video.
