On December 13, 2025, at approximately 2047 hours, I, Officer Swinehart was advised of a disturbance at Big Daddy’s stating a male showed the bar tender what was believed to be a knife. I responded code three due to it being unsure if the male was threatening anyone with the knife.

Upon my arrival I met with [WITNESS #1] who stated the subject later identified as Mack Julis Key was being aggressive and when asked to leave stated he was not leaving. I walked into Big Daddy’s with [WITNESS #1] who showed me where Key was sitting at the bar. I approached Key, which he appeared to be very intoxicated and advised him I needed him to come with me. Key was not complying with verbal commands to come out of the bar. At this time Officer Nesbitt arrived and advised Key to step outside with us as well and Key still was not complying. After multiple attempts, Officer Nesbitt and I went hands on with Key to remove him from the bar stool and exit the bar.

Key had a Taxi there to pick him up which he told him multiple times to leave and at one point he handed him one-hundred-dollar bill push him into Officer Nesbitt and stated, “get the fu*k out of here”. At this time Sargent Ivester with the Sheriff’s Office arrived and assisted with getting statements from [WITNESS #1] and [REDACTED].

Once we were able to get Key out of the bar stool he was placed into handcuffs to the rear and escorted out of the bar to the parking lot. Key was searched incident to arrest where two pocketknives were located. Key stated to myself and Officer Nesbitt that he would have our jobs and at one point told me, “To go fu*k myself”.

At this time the handcuffs were checked for fitness and double locked before being placed into the rear of Office Nesbitt’s patrol car. A safety belt was put in place for safe transport.

At this time, I returned into Big Daddy’s to retrieve a written statement from the [REDACTED] for what took place.

Officer Nesbitt transported Key to the Habersham County detention center where he was turned over to jail staff and Key wasn’t complying with jail staff as well.

Key is charged with Obstruction 16-10-24(a), Disorderly Conduct 16-11-39, Simple Assault 16-5-20
