On 09-12-2025 I, Lt. Heidi Lass # 113 was traveling south bound on GA15 when I heard a call come out through Habersham County 911 in reference to a BOLO traveling north bound on GA15, an aggressive driver, displaying a gun, driving a grey in color mini van with a work logo on the side. The BOLO vehicle was following close behind the original caller, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her juvenile son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

I then turned around and started traveling north bound in an attempt to catch up the the caller, while entering into the Tallulah Falls school zone a van matching the description of the BOLO vehicle was turning into Tallulah Falls School main entrance. I then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the male driver, Tyler Jonathan Reed. Our final stop was inside the school gate and just past the guard shack. Also on scene was Talluah Falls Chief, [REDACTED].

I explained to Reed why I stopped him and he told me the caller, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] cut him off in traffic. When I asked Reed if he had a gun and if he had pointed it at [REDACTED BY AGENCY], he said, he did. Reed was very upset and did not appear to think anything was wrong with his actions and kept referring back to him getting cut off in traffic. I asked Reed if he had any business to be on the school property and he said he did not, that he only turned in behind the victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to confront her. I asked Reed where his gun was at which time he told me it was in his driver side door pocket. I looked in that location and saw a black in color Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380, the gun was loaded and one live round was in the chamber. Reed said that was the gun he displayed to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] while driving.

During this time the Tallulah Falls School was put into a full lock down for the safety of the children and staff due to an aggressive person with a loaded gun being on school grounds there to confront the victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

I then met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated she did cut Reed off in traffic to avoid being in a collision with another vehicle and felt everything was fine due to none of the vehicles making contact with each other. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she continued north bound towards Tallulah Falls to drop her son [REDACTED BY AGENCY] off at school. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that Reed continued to follow her driving aggressively and pointed a black in color pistol at her which put her and her juvenile son in fear for their lives.

Reed was then placed under arrest and transported the Habersham County Jail by Deputy Hollingsworth without further incident. The gun was collected and place into evidence at the Habersham County Sheriffs Office, and the 2016 Ford Van was towed by list wrecker, Webbs Services, LLC.

Warrants were taken on Reed for:

Aggravated Assault 16-5-21
Disrupting a School 20-2-1181
Cruelty to Children 1st. Degree 16-5-70
Weapons on School Grounds 16-11-127.1
