FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off the Hall County sheriff’s office and led to the arrest of a 40-year-old man in possession of hundreds of child pornography images.
Investigators reportedly seized over a dozen electronic devices from the home of suspect Joshua Spratlin Rivers. Rivers was arrested on April 26.
A two-week investigation led investigators to search the suspect’s Spring Lake Drive home. Rivers allegedly committed the crimes related to the child sexual exploitation charges beginning in September 2022 and continuing until his recent arrest. Investigators seized fifteen electronic devices from Rivers’ home and passed them along to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to be processed by the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit.
Rivers remains in the Hall County Jail without bond. The investigation will continue with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force. More charges could be possible.
