Jersey Mike’s in Peachtree City receives a 62% on their recent health inspection

Jersey Mike’s, located at 612 Crosstown Dr in Peachtree City, received a score of 62 points out of a possible 100 points during their 11/26/2025 inspection by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The violations noted by the inspector were:

Violation #1:
1-2B – certified food protection manager
511-6-1.03(3)(a) – food safety manager certification (pf)

Inspector Notes: Observed that the facility does not have a certified food safety manager; certification is not posted and it is not available on site. CA: Facility shall have a certified food safety manager in its employ and they shall be designated to this location.

Inspector Notes: Observed that the facility was unable to produce verifiable acknowledgement of employee health reporting requirements. RCA: Facility has the forms, recommend having them signed. CA: Facility shall have verifiable means of showing employee health reporting requirement acknowledgement.

Inspector Notes: Observed accumulation of mold/mildew-like substance on the soda nozzles; an alcohol swab was used to wipe the sierra mist/starry night dispenser and the alcohol swab had brown and black on it, pictures attached. CA: Food contact surfaces shall be clean to sight and touch.

Inspector Notes: Observed cold TCS food stored above 41 F (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, ham, turkey, tuna salad, beef); pictures of thermometer/temperatures attached. COS. Discarded. CA: TCS food that uses cold holding as a control for safety shall be held at 41 F or below.

Inspector Notes: Observed that in both the walk-in cooler and the front reach-in cooler that the condenser/cooler was dripping water into the food being served and stored; observed food being stored on unclean rags on a tray and that the tray had puddles of water/juices/unknown liquid on it that the food was sitting in; pictures attached of food in the water and juices. COS. Discarded. CA: Food shall be stored protected from contamination.

Inspector Notes: Observed accumulation of debris on floors and ceilings throughout the facility; observed that the ceiling tiles and ceiling were damaged/missing in the rear of the store. CA: Facility shall be thoroughly cleaned and cleaning frequency shall be enough to prevent accumulation of debris.

Inspector Notes: Observed that the back door was being held open by a cart. COS. Closed. CA: Exterior openings shall be self-closing and tight-fitting or otherwise protected againt pest entry.

Additional remarks:
Due to the facility not receiving a satisfactory score, the facility shall receive a reinspection within the next 10 business days. The department requests that a risk control plan be conducted to discuss long term compliance.
