Mizu Japanese Restaurant in Savannah receives a 50% on their recent health inspection

Mizu Japanese Restaurant, located at 1450 Dean Forest Rd Ste A in Savannah, received a score of 50 points out of a possible 100 points during their 12/18/2024 inspection by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The violations noted by the inspector were:

Sanitizing concentration: dish machine- 50 ppm chlorine
Observed water emerging from drain near food prep sink, causing flooding.
Ensure employees belongings stored in a designated area.
Observed employee threw stained pitcher in the trash. Later observed same pitcher on drainboard of 3-compartment sink.
Formal hearing is scheduled for 12/19/2024, 10 AM at the Chatham County Health Department, 1395 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. Environmental Health Office is at the rear of building.
Facility is voluntarily closed until 10-day follow-up.
