On January 8, 2026 I was dispatched to 800 Market Place Blvd. (Gabinos), in reference to a fight.

Upon my arrival, I observed two males engaged in an argument. I immediately detained one of the males who was later identified as, Sharod King. King, stated he was trying to protect his ex-fiancée, [VICTIM #1]. Officers stood by with both males while I went to review video footage of the incident.

I reviewed the surveillance footage from Gabinos, and it showed King and [VICTIM #1] seated at the bar. The video showed [VICTIM #1]’s husband, Darrius, approach the two while they were at the bar. Darrius bumped [VICTIM #1] on the arm and spoke to them. [VICTIM #1] appeared to ask Darrius to step outside and led him with her hands and they walked out. King then got up and followed them to the parking lot.

Once the three of them were outside, words were exchanged and King pushed Darrius hard to the ground when Darrius was walking with [VICTIM #1]. Darrius then brandished a firearm after he fell and pointed it at King for a few seconds. Darrius put the gun back in his pocket when King walked to his car. King moved his car to a spot in front of the door and got back out and continued to have words with Darrius. Darrius then got into his vehicle to leave, but stopped in the road when officers arrived. Darrius later stated he only pulled his gun out for intimidation purposes so that he would not have to fight.

I spoke with [VICTIM #1], who stated that her husband caused the disturbance and she did not know how he knew she was there. Darrius said he knew where [VICTIM #1] was because shared phone locations. [VICTIM #1] said King, was only attempting to protect her, but she was not cooperative during the investigation. [VICTIM #1] said she was married to Darrius, but they currently live in separate homes.

Both Darrius, and Sharod King were issued citations and arrested for Disorderly Conduct (9.04.010 A). They were transported to the Henry County Jail for booking. Darrius’s weapon was secured and placed in the trunk of his vehicle. [VICTIM #1] took possession of King’s vehicle, and Darrius’s vehicle was parked by the building.

Video from the incident was uploaded to Axon.
