[NARRATIVE #1 on April 03, 2026]

On April 03, 2026, I, Lieutenant Blackburn with the City of McDonough Police Department, responded to a dispute at 20/20 Fitness located at 1090 Regency Plaza Blvd, McDonough, Georgia, within the city limits of McDonough.

Upon arrival, I was directed toward a white female, later identified as [VICTIM #1], who walked toward an area containing tables and chairs along an interior wall. Upon approaching the area, I observed a black female, later identified as Janiahia Anderson, seated at a table with a white male employee of 20/20 Fitness. The two were engaged in a conversation regarding the use of a membership belonging to Ms. Anderson’s mother.

The male employee was attempting to explain the facility’s membership policies, specifically that Ms. Anderson could not utilize her mother’s membership without her mother being present, and that a transfer of membership would be required for her to use the facility independently. During the conversation, Ms. Anderson provided inconsistent and incorrect information and was unable to provide her mother’s correct address, preventing the employee from locating the membership in the system.

At this time, Officer Mirville and Officer Womack, also with the City of McDonough Police Department, arrived on scene and made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Ms. Anderson entered the fitness center attempting to use her mother’s membership without her mother present and was informed she could not do so. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that when she attempted to stop Ms. Anderson, Ms. Anderson became confrontational and told her to move out of the way or she would “put hands on her,” placing Ms. [VICTIM #1] in fear for her safety.

While Officer Mirville and Officer Womack were gathering information from Ms. [VICTIM #1], Ms. Anderson repeatedly interrupted their conversation and became confrontational. Officer Womack advised Ms. Anderson that he was speaking with the other party; however, Ms. Anderson continued to be argumentative and used profanity toward Officer Womack, telling him not to speak with her.

Officer Womack asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if she wished for Ms. Anderson to be removed from the property and criminally trespassed. Ms. [VICTIM #1] confirmed that she did. A male employee attempted to continue speaking with Ms. Anderson regarding setting up a membership; however, Officer Mirville advised him that Ms. [VICTIM #1] had already made the decision to trespass Ms. Anderson, and there was no need to continue the discussion.

Ms. Anderson continued to be belligerent, directing profanity toward Ms. [VICTIM #1] and officers, including calling Ms. [VICTIM #1] a “b*tch.” When Officer Womack requested identification, Ms. Anderson stated she did not have a driver’s license but provided her name and date of birth. While providing her information, Ms. Anderson stated that she would return to the location later that night despite being trespassed, saying, “I don’t give a f*ck.”

Ms. Anderson also became argumentative with Officer Mirville, stating that Ms. [VICTIM #1] did not own the building. Officer Mirville advised he would not argue with her, at which point Ms. Anderson responded with profanity, telling him to “get the f*ck out of my face.”

Ms. Anderson’s information was run through Henry County Communications, which revealed an active warrant for her arrest. Officer Womack advised Ms. Anderson to stand and placed her in handcuffs behind her back, notifying dispatch that one subject was detained.

Due to the number of individuals inside the gym, I instructed Officer Womack to escort Ms. Anderson outside. While being escorted, Ms. Anderson became loud and continued making threats toward Ms. [VICTIM #1] while using profanity.

Once outside, Ms. Anderson resisted officers’ attempts to conduct a search for weapons, becoming aggressive and refusing to comply. Ms. Anderson began kicking and struck Officer Mirville in the leg. At that time, officers escorted Ms. Anderson to the ground in order to gain control and limit her movement. While on the ground, officers were able to safely complete a search for weapons. Ms. Anderson was then assisted back to her feet and placed in the rear of a marked patrol unit.

I advised Officer Womack that if Ms. Anderson began kicking the patrol vehicle, additional charges for interference with government property should be considered. I then cleared the scene.

[NARRATIVE #2 on April 03, 2026]

On Friday, April 3, 2026 at approximately 0917 hours I, Ofc. A Mirville 2141, and Ofc. M Womack 2126 responded to Fitness 20/20; located at 1090 Regency Plaza Blvd., McDonough, Ga., 30253 in reference to a disturbance. Upon our arrival we made contact with the complainant/victim, Ms. [VICTIM #1] [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and arrestee, Ms. Janiahia Anderson [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Ms. Anderson entered the gym and was asked to verify her name in regards to her membership. Ms. [VICTIM #1] notified Ms. Anderson that she did not have a membership. After being told this, Ms. Anderson decided to advance past her. When told to stop by Ms. [VICTIM #1], Ms. Anderson stated aloud, “move before I put my hands on you. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she tried to stay calm in the midst of Ms. Andersons combative gestures but that she continuously pushed her way into the gym floor where she began to workout. At this time Ms. [VICTIM #1] decided to contact law enforcement.

Upon entering the gym, we observed Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. Anderson sitting at a table towards the front end of the gym actively disputing. A male gym employee/witness, [WITNESS #1] [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also sat at the table disputing with Ms. Anderson in regards to her membership. Ms. [VICTIM #1] explained to us the occurrence of events and advised she wanted Ms. Anderson trespassed. While attempting to hear [VICTIM #1] recall the series of events, Ms. Andersons behavior became loud and belligerent towards Ms. [VICTIM #1] as well as law enforcement. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she wanted Ms. Anderson trespassed on behalf of Fitness 20/20.

When asked, Ms. Anderson provided her full name and DOB which was ran by dispatch. When the return came back, I was advised that Ms. Anderson had an outstanding warrant for a Marijuana charge. At this time Ms. Anderson was being detained due to her warrant status until confirmation could be made. She was placed in handcuffs behind her back, double-locked, and checked for fit. Ms. Anderson was then escorted outside and while being escorted out of the gym, Ms. Anderson became extremely hostile and irate shouting, “b*tch” and other slurs continuously at the top of her lungs.

Once outside Ms Anderson was escorted to my patrol car where she was informed she’d be searched for weapons and other forms of contraband. While attempting to conduct a probable cause search, Ms. Anderson became extremely violent yelling and obstructing law enforcement by tensing her body, jumping, and pulling away from me all while while being asked to comply.

She also quickly attempted to reach in her right jacket pocket. As I saw her reach I grabbed her hand and instructed her not to reach. At this point she began kicking around thus striking me in the right knee with her right foot. Due to her erratic and violent behavior she was guided to the ground where a proper search was conducted. She was quickly picked up and placed in the rear passenger side of my patrol car.

Next, I attempted to place a seat belt on Ms. Anderson but she slid to the opposite side and refused to wear a seatbelt for her safety. Ms. Anderson became more violent and irate and began kicking the rear passenger door and window with her foot shaking the entire vehicle. I went back into the gym once Ms. Anderson was under control and obtained written statements from Ms. [WITNESS #1] [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Ms. [VICTIM #1].

After returning to the vehicle, Ms. Anderson complained of knee injuries so an ambulance was called to the scene for an evaluation. Moments later the ambulance arrived and EMTs determined Ms. Anderson was in good health with no injuries. Ms. Anderson was then transported to the Henry County jail and issued 5 citations as well as a criminal trespass warning. She was eventually turned over to the intake officers and I went back in service.
