On December 11, 2025, at approximately 0036 hours, I conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle on I 75 N, near mile marker 215. The offense occurred near mile marker 213 and the reason for the stop was speeding.

Upon stopping the vehicle, I told the driver/offender, Jason Williams, the reason for the stop and obtained his driver license. When checking his license through GCIC, a warrant return came back showing he had an active warrant out of Butts County for Simple Assault. At this time, I approached Williams again. I told Williams I needed him to step out of the car and come to the front of it. This was because he was parked on the white line of the right shoulder and I didn’t want either of us getting struck by a car.

Williams asked why I needed him to do that and I explained there was a warrant for his arrest and he was being detained until I could confirm the warrant. He began asking several questions of which some I answered while explaining to him that if he didn’t do as I said, he’d get charged with obstruction. I told him multiple more times, even after telling him I’d only tell him one more time to step out, and Williams did not listen. He was then told he was under arrest and to get out of the vehicle. Only then did he actually do so. He was escorted to the rear of his vehicle and placed in handcuffs.

Williams was transported to the Henry County Jail on the charges of Speeding (OCGA 40-6-181) and City Ordinance Obstruction (CO 9.04.010). His vehicle was towed by Corner Lot Towing with an inventory sheet completed.
