On 07-01-26 I officer King was patrolling John Frank Ward and Macon Street, and observed a traffic infraction. This incident location occurred within the city limits of McDonough ( Henry county ) Georgia. This case has been documented and closed by an arrest.
While patrolling I observed a silver in color Honda CRV-V bearing a Georgia tag of : [REDACTED] directly in front of me traveling west bound on John Frank Ward. I ran the vehicle’s tag through NCIC/GCIC and it showed that the registered owner Ms. Avdelita Berduo-Chavez was unlicensed. I initiated my emergency equipped lights and proceeded with my traffic stop.
My final stop was located in front of Henry County’s State Court. Once the vehicle stopped I observed subjects in the vehicle switching seats. The subject from the rear switched to the front, and the front switched to the back seat.
I made contact with everyone in the vehicle, and asked them who switched seats. The male with no seat belt on in the back seat advised that he was the one operating the vehicle. I made contact with the female in the driver seat, who was identified as the registered owner. I asked why did they switch seats, and the registered owner advised that she had an ID.
I advised the male to provide me with his drivers license. The male only had an ID out of Guatemala. The male was advised to step outside of the vehicle. The male was advised that he was being arrested for operating a motor vehicle while unlicensed. The male was Apprehended to the rear. Handcuffs were doubled locked and Checked for fit. The male was searched and placed in the back of Marked patrol unit #6. The male was identified as Mr. Jose- Enrique Berduo-Roblero.
The registered owner was cited for permitting an unlicensed person To operate a vehicle, and obstruction for switching seats in the Vehicle. The registered owner had a neighbor take possession of the Vehicle due to her being unlicensed.
Mr. Berduo-Roblero was transported to Henry county jail, and handed over to Henry county personnel. Mr. Berduo-Roblero did not have any Complaints of injuries from the handcuffs. Mr. Berduo-Roblero was Charged with driving while unlicensed, obstruction, and seat belt Violation.
