[NARRATIVE #1 on June 11, 2026]

On June 11, 2026 at approximately 1808 hours, I, Corporal Aguilar responded to [REDACTED], located within the city limits of McDonough, Henry County, Georgia, regarding a domestic disturbance. This case is closed by arrest.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and her daughter, Kaitlyn Newmon, had been involved in an argument that resulted in Kaitlyn striking her in the nose with her head three times.

[VICTIM #1] advised that both she and Kaitlyn had been drinking alcohol but stated that everything had initially been fine. She explained that Kaitlyn suddenly became upset, though [VICTIM #1] was unsure of the reason other than possible intoxication. [VICTIM #1] stated that while Kaitlyn was carrying her three-year-old son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Kaitlyn slapped her in the face and then head-butted her twice. [VICTIM #1] advised that she did not defend herself because Kaitlyn was holding her grandson at the time.

[VICTIM #1] further stated that Kaitlyn then wanted to leave the residence, and [VICTIM #1] attempted to assist her by opening the front door. [VICTIM #1] advised that the door had a child-lock mechanism, causing difficulty in opening it. During this time, Kaitlyn head-butted [VICTIM #1] a third time, striking her in the nose and causing visible bruising.

I observed bruising on [VICTIM #1]’s nose while on scene. [VICTIM #1] advised that she believed her nose had been broken but stated that she “popped it back into place.” [VICTIM #1] requested medical evaluation, and EMS responded to the scene and assessed her condition.

While I was speaking with [VICTIM #1], Officer Newcomb was obtaining a statement from Kaitlyn Newmon. (See Officer Newcomb’s supplemental report for additional details.) After photographing [VICTIM #1]’s injuries and obtaining her statement, I relocated to the front of the apartment complex near the park area, where Officer Newcomb was speaking with Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn advised that she and her mother had been sitting on separate patios having separate conversations. Kaitlyn stated that she had been on FaceTime with her child’s father and, after ending the call, learned that her mother had also contacted him, which she found unusual. Kaitlyn stated that [VICTIM #1] was an alcoholic and needed help. Kaitlyn denied that any physical altercation had occurred but also stated that she did not want her mother to get into trouble.

Based on the statements obtained, the physical evidence observed, and the totality of the circumstances, I determined that Kaitlyn Newmon was the predominant aggressor in the family violence incident. I further determined that Kaitlyn committed the offenses of Battery (Family Violence) against [VICTIM #1] and Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree in the presence of [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Kaitlyn was placed under arrest, handcuffed behind her back, double-locked, and checked for proper fit. She was then secured in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle. [REDACTED] was released to [VICTIM #1] pending the arrival of his father, who was enroute from Florida.

Kaitlyn was transported to and released into the custody of the Henry County Jail.

This incident was recorded using my city-issued body-worn camera. A warrant was applied for. Written statements were collected and attached to this report, and photographs were taken and uploaded to VisualLabs.

This case is closed by arrest.

[NARRATIVE #2 on June 14, 2026]

On June 14, 2026 at approximately 1341 hours, I, Corporal Aguilar swore to the warrant for Kaitlyn Newmon with Judge Patten. 2026-809WM

I, Officer Newcomb, was dispatched at 1754 hours to [REDACTED], McDonough, Henry County, Georgia, in reference to a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] (DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]), who advised that she and her daughter, Kaitlyn Newman (DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY], had been involved in a physical altercation. [VICTIM #1] stated the altercation resulted in an injury to her nose, which she believed was broken.

[VICTIM #1] advised that Kaitlyn had left the residence and was possibly at the neighborhood park with her three-year-old son. I responded to the park and located Kaitlyn inside the playground slide. Kaitlyn was asleep, while her three-year-old son was sitting next to her awake. I called out to Kaitlyn, at which time she woke up and agreed to speak with me.

Kaitlyn stated that she and her mother had been involved in a verbal argument that escalated, causing her to leave the residence. During my interaction with Kaitlyn, I observed signs of severe intoxication. I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person, she was unsteady on her feet.

Kaitlyn repeatedly requested that I speak with the neighbor who resides directly across from her mother’s residence regarding the incident. After ensuring the child’s safety by returning him to [VICTIM #1]’s care, Kaitlyn was placed under arrest by Officer Aguilar.

I then made contact with the neighbor, who advised that Kaitlyn has a history of alcohol abuse and frequently relies on her mother for assistance with childcare. The neighbor further stated that when Kaitlyn is intoxicated, arguments and domestic disputes between her and [VICTIM #1] are common and often result in law enforcement being called to the residence.

[VICTIM #1] later contacted the child’s father by telephone. The father advised that Kaitlyn has a severe drinking problem and becomes violent when intoxicated.
