On 11-19-25 at approximately 2048 hours, I Sergeant Ogletree responded to 1300 Highway 20 West (Taco Mac) which is located within the city limits of McDonough (Henry County) Georgia in reference to a person drunk.

Upon my arrival on this date, I made contact with the complainant who was later identified as [WITNESS #1]. Ms [WITNESS #1] is an employee of Taco Mac and advised me that it was a male sitting in the patio area that appeared to be intoxicated. Ms. [WITNESS #1] also advised the male was not a customer of Taco Mac but rather walked in off the street and just sat at the table.

When I checked on the welfare of the male, he was sitting at the table slumped over and vomiting excessively. At the table with the male was an opened bottle of Taylor Port wine that was half full. EMS was already on scene accessing the subject and advised me that nothing medically was wrong with the subject rather than being intoxicated.

At this time, I requested from the male an identification and he advised he didn’t have one. I then instructed him that I needed his name and date of birth and he provided me with “Henry Black” date of birth [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. EMS turned the call back over to me and I advised the male he was under arrest and to turn around and place his hands behind his back because he was under arrest.

The male complied and I placed handcuffs on him double locking them and checking for fit. I escorted the male to unit 18 and searched is person for any weapons and contraband. Through spontaneous utterance the male advised his identification was in his back pack that he had in his possession. I then checked the compartment that he advised the identification was in and I located folded papers. I unfolded the papers and it was revealed to be a release paper from the Henry County Jail. When I checked the name on the paper, it was determined the males name was Romon Hammond with a date of birth of [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

I provided that name through dispatch and they were able to find the subject in the system and having history with law enforcement. I transported Mr. Hammond to the Henry County Jail and released him to the jail staff without incident. Mr. Hammond did not complain of any injuries from the handcuffing process nor did he have any visible injuries.

I cited Mr. Hammond for Public Intoxication, Open Containers, and Obstruction for providing me with a false name and date of birth under the City of McDonugh’s city ordinances and advised him of his must appear court date 01-07-26 at 1330 hours at the McDonough Municipal Court located at 40 Lawrenceville Street McDonough, Georgia 30253.

I placed Mr. Hammond’s back pack in the property and evidence room (locker 10) at the McDonough Police Department headquarters located at 50 Lawrenceville Street McDonough, Georgia 30253.
