On November 30, 2025 I, Ofc. B. Thomas, was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Magnaview Dr, McDonough, GA – Henry County in reference to a domestic disturbance.
While investigating the initial call I came in contact with Sherlock Byars, who the police were called on. In addition to repeating the same things over and over again, telling everyone including myself, the other officer on scene, his wife, his kids, and his sister “fu*k you”, speaking at a volume that would likely disturb the piece (as illustrated by his sister saying “oh my God, my neighbors are turning on their lights), admitting that he was drinking prior to our encounter, he also told me he would “beat my a*s”.
Based on the totality of the circumstances and the fact Byars seemingly offended all his relatives to the point of no longer being willing to help him, he was placed under arrest.
He was handcuffed behind his back and the cuffs were double locked. He searched incident to arrest. The back seat was checked before and after his transport. He did not complain of any injuries at any time.
[End of Narrative]
