On 12/07/2025, at approximately 0309 hours, I, Officer Prescott with the McDonough Police Department, responded to a call for service on Avalon Parkway, which is within the city limits of McDonough, Henry County, Georgia. This incident has been closed.
Upon my arrival, I observed that officers from the Henry County Police Department were already on scene. I made contact with the driver, identified as Tramell McCutchen. When asked what had occurred, McCutchen stated that while driving home, he encountered an object in the roadway, which caused him to leave the roadway and wreck the vehicle he was operating.
During my investigation, I observed that McCutchen and his girlfriend, who was a passenger in the vehicle, appeared to be inebriated and possibly under the influence of marijuana. While on scene, I located an open liquor bottle inside the vehicle. McCutchen emitted a strong odor of alcohol and other intoxicating substances.
I placed McCutchen under arrest, securing his hands behind his back with handcuffs. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double-locked. I then read him the Georgia Implied Consent Notice, to which he consented to a blood test.
I transported McCutchen to Piedmont Hospital for the blood draw. The nurse who performed the draw was [REDACTED]. Upon completion of the blood test, I transported McCutchen to the Henry County Jail, where he was released to jail staff without incident. He did not report any injuries. A back-seat check of my patrol vehicle was performed at 0630 hours.
