On 11/08/2025 at approximately 0236 hours, I, Officer Hill, along with Officer Pixley, were dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a report of shots fired.

While en route, dispatch advised a female party at the scene had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Dispatch further advised the injured female and the caller, a male subject, were outside the residence in a vehicle. Dispatch also stated the caller reported the shooter was still inside the residence. A separate call from another female inside the residence, indicated the firearm was on the kitchen table. Given the information received, an emergency response (lights and siren) was initiated.

Upon arrival, I observed a silver Ford Explorer, bearing Georgia license plate [REDACTED BY AGENCY], parked in front of the residence. A female, later identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY], was seated in the front passenger seat. A male, later identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY], was standing outside the vehicle applying pressure to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] chest.

I exited my patrol vehicle, drew my department-issued handgun to the low-ready position, and loudly asked for the location of the shooter, identified as Amy Luna. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] replied he did not know and requested assistance for [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stating she was dying. I re-holstered my weapon and began to render medical aid.

Officer Pixley arrived on scene and assisted with medical treatment. Initially, locating the entry wound was difficult due to clothing and minimal bleeding. After cutting away clothing with trauma shears, I located a gunshot wound to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left breast. A second wound was located on her left lower back above the waistline. Officers provided first aid until EMS arrival.

Once Officer Pixley was able to manage [REDACTED BY AGENCY] care, I proceeded to locate Luna. I approached the residence with my firearm drawn. Upon reaching the front door, I attempted to kick it open without success. I observed a set of keys in the door lock, used them to unlock the door, and entered the residence.

Inside, I observed Amy Luna standing in the front room. I pointed my firearm at her and ordered her to lie on the ground with her hands extended to her sides. Luna complied. I then detained her with her hands behind her back, escorted her to my patrol vehicle, and conducted a safety pat-down. After confirming no weapons were present, Luna was secured in the rear of my patrol car.

I reentered the residence to locate the firearm. A .380 caliber Ruger LCP (black slide, purple frame, serial number [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) was found on the kitchen table. The weapon was cleared and secured in my patrol vehicle.

I advised dispatch the scene was safe for Centerville Fire Department and EMS to enter. EMS assumed treatment of [REDACTED] upon arrival and subsequently transported her to a hospital in Macon.

I then notified Lieutenant Escobedo, Lieutenant Spurgeon, and Sergeant Bard, all of whom advised they were en route to the scene. Officer Pixley and I secured the area with crime scene tape and conducted a safety sweep of the residence. No additional subjects were located. At that time, no visible blood, shell casings, or bullet holes were found inside the residence.

The firearm located on the kitchen table was a Ruger LCP .380 caliber handgun, serial number [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. The weapon exhibited a failure to feed, causing the slide to be locked to the rear. Upon clearing the weapon, Officer Pixley located five live rounds in the magazine, which has a capacity of six.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he had driven [REDACTED BY AGENCY], so she could speak with Luna regarding an ongoing dispute about the sale of antique furniture from over a year ago. After dropping [REDACTED BY AGENCY] off, he went to a nearby gas station to use the restroom. Upon returning, and while approximately one street away, he heard a gunshot. When he arrived back at the residence, he observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the front yard repeatedly stating, “She shot me.” [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then placed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the passenger seat of his vehicle and called emergency services.

Luna stated she had been set up by both [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. She advised she encountered [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the garage and she possessed evidence of her claims on her cell phone. Luna’s statements were made voluntarily; no questioning was conducted, and she was not read her Miranda rights at that time.

Due to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] medical condition, she was unable to provide a statement. Officer Pixley obtained two written statements from neighbors and interviewed several others.

Lieutenant Spurgeon and Sergeant Bard arrived on scene shortly thereafter. Sergeant Bard determined the shooting likely occurred inside the garage. At Lieutenant Spurgeon’s direction, I transported Luna and her cellphone to the Centerville Police Department for interview. Luna was searched by Lieutenant Escobedo prior to the interview.

After the interview, I was instructed by Lieutenant Spurgeon to transport Luna to the Houston County Detention Center. She was charged with one count of Aggravated Assault (OCGA 16-5-21). Luna was booked into the detention center without incident.
