On 12/28/2021 at 1908 hours, I, Ofc. Strom, was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Pleasant Hill Ct in reference to a physical domestic. While enroute dispatch advised the caller, [VICTIM #1], would be at the Sunoco at 1401 Watson Blvd awaiting contact.
I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] at the Sunoco. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated her boyfriend and father of her children, Brian Childers, choked her at their residence of [100 BLOCK] Pleasant Hill Ct. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised Brian has been physically abusing her all day, and this is a re-occurring incident.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated her and her oldest daughter, [WITNESS #1], arrived at the residence around 1800 hours and Brian began screaming at her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised during the verbal argument, Brian, grabbed her by the throat and began pushing her. Brian also pushed her completely out of the apartment. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised [WITNESS #1] witnessed the physical altercation, but stated she is scared of Brian, and I needed to ask her about the incident separate from Brian. Ms. [VICTIM #1] did not have any visible physical injuries at this time. I gave Ms. [VICTIM #1] a ride back to her residence at [100 BLOCK] Pleasant Hill Court.
While at the residence, I made contact with Brain standing on the front porch. Brian advised he and Ms. [VICTIM #1] got into a verbal argument, and then she threw a soda at him. Brian had a ripped sweater in his hand and stated Ms. [VICTIM #1] jumped on him and ripped his sweater, so he pushed her out of the residence to defend himself. There was a spilled soda on the floor of the living room. Brian stated he never put his hands on Ms. [VICTIM #1] except to push her off of him. Brian also showed me a cut on his left wrist that was from an earlier incident, and was already scabbed over.
I made contact with the daughters inside the residence. [WITNESS #1] (13 yoa) was in tears when I began to ask her about the incident. [WITNESS #1] stated when her and Ms. [VICTIM #1] got back to the residence, Brian was angry and began yelling at Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Brian then pushed Ms. [VICTIM #1] down onto the couch, which spilled the drink. [WITNESS #1] stated Brian had his hand around the shoulders/trap of Ms. [VICTIM #1] when he pushed her down, but did not strangle her. [WITNESS #1] stated Brian then began pushing Ms. [VICTIM #1] out of the residence, shouting at her to get out. [WITNESS #1] advised this is when Ms. [VICTIM #1] ripped Brian’s sweater, trying to fight back. [WITNESS #2] (9yoa) stated she was trying not to pay attention to the altercation, but did state she saw Ms. [VICTIM #1] on the floor.
I placed Brian Childers into custody for Simple Battery Family Violence. I transported him to the Warner Robins LEC to be processed on his charge. I will be seeking a warrant for this charge next date.
