On September 14th, 2026, at approximately 1620 hours, I, Dep. G. M. Davis, was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute. I was wearing my issued Houston County Sheriff’s Office Class A uniform with my badge clearly displayed, and I was operating my marked Houston County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit #815.
Upon my arrival, I spoke with the offender/victim, Brittany Newkirk. Brittany reported that she was pulling up to her residence [REDACTED] when she noticed her ex-husband the other offender/victim, Brandon Newkirk Sr., had shown up uninvited. Victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got out of Brittany’s vehicle to hug Brandon Sr. During this time Birttany told Brandon Sr. To leave and that he’s not supposed to be there. Brandon Sr. called Brittany a “B*tch” and told her to “suck his d*ck”; Brittany proceeded to move her vehicle into the garage. Brandon Sr. went to the garage entrance and put his foot in front of the garage door sensor in order to stop it from closing. Brittany stated Brandon Sr. then approached her and spit at her; the spit did not make contact with her.
Brandon Sr. then put his hand in Brittany’s face. Brittany then pushed Brandon Sr. A scuffle, Brittany was vague about commenced, and at some point, Brandon Sr. broke Brittany’s $300 “Dolce Gabbana” sunglasses.
Brittany requested that Brandon Sr. be criminally trespassed from her residence.
Brittany provided me with Brandon Sr.’s current address.
I did not observe any marks or injuries on Brittany.
Brittany stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was not present for the physical altercation.
I observed cameras outside of the residence; Brittany showed me one video of Brandon Sr. arriving at her residence.
Brittany was given a case card with the incident number on it and was informed on how to obtain this report. Brittany was also provided with my Houston County Sheriff’s Office email and instructed to send any video evidence to me.
I attempted to make contact with Brandon Sr. At [REDACTED]. I was unsuccessful at this time.
At approximately 1750 Hours, I was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to Brandon Sr. calling in about the domestic dispute. When I arrived, I spoke to Brandon Sr. who reported that he was in the area and went to see [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at the bus drop-off point. Brandon Sr. heard that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had not gone to school. Brandon Sr. then went to [REDACTED] to see his son. When he got there, he said he hugged his son and that he and Brittany got into a verbal argument about him being there.
Brandon stated he did call Brittany a “b*tch” and Brittany called him a “b*tch” in return. Brandon Sr. stated he did stop the garage door from closing and continued to argue with Brittany. Brandon Sr. stated he did not go into the garage, and while he and Brittany were arguing, Brittany came at him and struck him multiple times.
I observed a small knot on the top right side of Brandon Sr.’s head and a visible mark on his right ribcage area; these marks are known to me through my knowledge, training, and experience to be consistent with a physical altercation. Brandon Sr.’s injuries were photographed, and he filled out a witness statement; the photographs and witness statement will be attached to this report.
Brandon Sr. was given a case card with the incident number on it and was informed on how to obtain this report.
On September 15th, 2026, I followed up with Brittany for further video evidence of the altercation. Brittany added to her original report that Brandon Sr. spat at her. I was able to obtain additional video evidence of the altercation. In the video, I observed Brandon Sr. being at the [REDACTED] residence and hugging [REDACTED BY AGENCY]; I heard an incoherent verbal altercation ensue.
I then observed Brittany pull her vehicle into the garage; Brandon Sr. went inside the garage for a brief time and came back out. While outside the garage, I observed Brandon Sr. spit into the garage. After this occurred, I observed Brittany kick and swing at Brandon Sr., making physical contact. With the positioning of Brittany after exiting the garage, I believe she was the target for Brandon’s spit.
The two moved to the front yard where Brittany continued to advance and swing at Brandon Sr. During this time, Brandon Sr. appears to hit his head on a tree in the yard. After the physical altercation was done, I observed Brandon Sr. pick up and break what appears to be the sunglasses Brittany reported were damaged.
During the physical altercation, [WITNESS #1] is heard screaming as the altercation takes place. Shortly after [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s scream, I observe [REDACTED BY AGENCY] within view of the camera, outside of the garage. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was then able to witness Brittany’s act of Family Violence – Battery upon Brandon Sr.
On 09/15/2026 at 1643 hours I met with Judge Sammons of the Houston County Magistrate Court and obtained the following warrants against Brittany and Brandon Sr.:
Brittany:
OCGA 16-5-23.1: Battery Family Violence.
OCGA 16-5-70: Cruelty to Children (3rd degree).
Brandon Sr.:
OCGA 16-5-20: Simple Assault, Family Violence.
OCGA 16-7-21: Criminal Trespass, Damage to Property.
