On 09/23/2025 at 2124 hours, I, Ofc. Lowery responded to 1601 Watson Blvd., Emory Healthcare, in reference to a gun shot victim.
When I arrived on scene at Emory, I observed a black truck parked at the entrance door with flashers on. I gave the tag to dispatch and proceeded inside. I made contact with staff and victim in T1. Once able to, I began to question the victim on where the incident occurred, who did it and his personal information. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was at Days Inn, 2739 Watson Blvd., when he was approached by a black female named Dior and a black male that was possibly her boyfriend. He stated that female had a heart tattoo on her cheek. She was possibly wearing all grey. The male with her was wearing a white shirt and red shorts. He could not provide further. he stated that he was near room [REDACTED] when Dior approached him. All he knew was the he was shot. He feels the male is the one who shot him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he thinks the two were attempting to rob him.
[VICTIM #1] further explained that the two suspects departed the area the same time he did. The male and female were driving a silver sedan four door car. He stated that he pulled out of the hotel parking lot behind the silver car. While driving eastbound on Watson Blvd, on the way to the hospital, [VICTIM #1] rear ended the silver car with his black truck.
Other units and supervisors were made aware of the information. I gathered [VICTIM #1]’s clothes and jewelry that was removed by ER staff. I observeda wound on the left side of [VICTIM #1]’s abdomen. I also observed his right hand injured. It appeared his right middle finger nail was gone. [VICTIM #1] stated that he believes that happened when he fell.
ER staff stated that [VICTIM #1] would be transported to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Macon. I followed Med 11 code to [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I then stoodby as [VICTIM #1] went into surgery.
