On January 20th, 2026, at approximately 1853 hours, Deputy H. Sanders and I, Deputy B. Snyder, was dispatched to a physical domestic dispute at the address of [100 BLOCK] Centennial Drive. I was wearing my issued Class-A uniform with my badge displayed and driving my marked patrol vehicle (Unit# 865).
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] was visibly upset with a tear-stained face. I noted she had no visible injuries at this time. [VICTIM #1] stated she had just arrived home and was on the phone with her mother, [WITNESS #1]. [VICTIM #1] told [WITNESS #1], her soon to be ex-husband, John Wright, was at the door and she was going to tell him that he had no business there and, he needed to leave. [VICTIM #1] said she cracked open the door and John rushed the door gaining entry inside the home. John grabbed [VICTIM #1] by her shoulders and pushed her back falling onto the couch. John then jumped onto her back holding her down by her forearms telling her to “look at me”. John then flipped [VICTIM #1] over onto her back and said, “why should my kids be fatherless and your kids not be motherless”. [VICTIM #1] said he let go, ran outside, and she went to get in her vehicle and leave. [VICTIM #1] looked and observed John was at her window while she was trying to leave. John walked to his vehicle and then left.
[VICTIM #1] provided a video of the incident where she was trying to leave in her car. It can be observed [VICTIM #1] is in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and an older white male (John) with pants and a green jacket on approaches the driver side door. The male raises his index finger to the vehicle and [VICTIM #1] attempted to leave. The male then turned, and it can be observed there was a silver firearm tucked into the back of his waistband as he walked back to his vehicle.
I noticed the living room couch was sitting at an angle in the living room, obviously disturbed from the original location. [VICTIM #1] stated the living room couch is normally straight and organized due to the children needing space to play in the living room. [VICTIM #1] confirmed the couch was moved during the incident.
I made contact with [WITNESS #1] via phone. [WITNESS #1] explained she was on the phone with [VICTIM #1] during the incident. [VICTIM #1] had just gotten home. [WITNESS #1] said she heard [VICTIM #1] say she believed John had arrived in his vehicle. [WITNESS #1] said she then heard [VICTIM #1] exclaim “John NO” “John STOP” multiple times. [WITNESS #1] said she was fearful her daughter was being killed and hung up, calling 911 immediately. [WITNESS #1] said she had no idea what was happening to her daughter.
Contact was attempted with the primary aggressor, John, and no contact was made. A BOLO was sent out to the surrounding area for John and his vehicle which was a 1993 GMC 1500 [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Perry PD checked his parents’ residence on Airport Rd to see if he and the vehicle were there. There was negative contact.
John is being charged with:
*OCGA Criminal Trespass 16-7-21

*OCGA False Imprisonment 16-5-41 (Felony)

[VICTIM #1] was strongly advised to change the locks as she said John moved out of his own accord approximately a month ago. [VICTIM #1] was also strongly advised to obtain a TPO and was advised on the process. [VICTIM #1] was notified warrants would be sought against John.
Statement collected and to be uploaded to this report.
Copy of the video [VICTIM #1] provided uploaded to this report.
Increased patrol logged for this residence.
