On November 13, 2025, at approximately 1907 hrs, I was dispatched to the area of Highway 41 North and Gunn Road in reference to an accident.
While enroute, I was informed a motorcycle hit a vehicle and the vehicle was no longer on scene. The description of the vehicle was an older gold Ford Explorer with a chrome bumper.
Upon arrival, I made contact with the motorcycle driver, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] informed me as he was driving South on Highway 41, a gold SUV pulled out in front of him. He stated he tried to swerve to the right to miss it but hit the rear driver’s side dumper. He informed me he did not lay the motorcycle down and was able to recover, but his left foot had some broken toes.
[VICTIM #1] left with EMS shortly after my arrival. With the description of the vehicle, I was informed by assisting deputies that they located the possible suspect vehicle on Flock. After running the vehicle registration number, I was informed it came back to a vehicle that matched the description, and the residence was approximately 5 minutes from the scene of the accident.
Deputies arrived at the residence and located a gold Ford Explorer in the driveway. The Explorer had damage to the rear driver’s side.
I made contact with Gloria Lumpkin at the front door of the residence. I walked with Gloria to the vehicle and asked her about the damage to the back driver’s side. She informed me she hit a motorcycle and did not stop afterwards. She stated she saw the motorcycle as she was pulling out of the Dollar Store parking lot but was not able to stop her vehicle in time, causing an accident.
Gloria was placed in handcuffs, double locked to the front and checked for fit. Gloria was secured in the rear of Lieutenant Daugherty’s patrol vehicle. Lieutenant Daugherty transported Gloria to the Houston County Detention Center where she was booked on the following:
O.C.G.A. 40-6-270 – Hit and run (Failure to stop at the scene of an accident)
O.C.G.A. 40-6-73 – Failure to Yield
[End of Narrative]
