On 11 August 2025 at approximately 1550 hours, I was on duty with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, in uniform, with my badge displayed, and I was in a marked patrol vehicle (915). I was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] Paul St, Warner Robins Ga 31088 in reference to a civil complaint.
I was advised by dispatch that the complainant James Crawford called 911 irate and cursing. James was calling after he learned Civil Warrants Division was out at his residence earlier in the day to serve an eviction. I made contact with James by phone at his request. James stated he believed his home was entered illegally. James said he was in the middle of an eviction but had until the 16th of August to remove any belongings he wished to keep.
James continued to yell and curse me over the phone. I advised James that due to the issue being with the Civil Division he would need to make contact with them during normal business hours. I also advised James I would send his contact information to Sergeant Banks with the civil Division and have him make phone contact when he was in service.
I made contact with Corporal Mullis at Houston County 911 and requested an open records request for the phone call made by James. I was advised by Sergeant Frizzell that James had contacted 911 again 2 times during night shift and continued to be irate, cursing and yelling.
After reviewing the audio from dispatch, I sought for a warrant for misuse of 911. The warrant was signed by Judge Wechsler at the Houston County Magistrate Court. An evidence voucher was completed and a copy of the audio on a CD disk was entered into evidence.
