On Thursday, October 9, 2025, at approximately 0022 hours, I responded to [900 BLOCK] Corder Road apartment [REDACTED] in reference to aggravated assault.

Prior to my arrival, dispatch stated victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], was at this location stating she was involved in a domestic at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Dispatch stated the incident occurred approximately 45 minutes prior to her calling and she was calling from a friends residence.

Dispatch stated during the incident, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was assaulted and “thrown to the ground” causing her to “hit her head.” Dispatch stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had open wounds to her elbow, right ankle, and other locations on her person. Dispatch stated due to her injuries, Houston EMS would be enroute to check her out. Dispatch stated the offender, Jared Zammit, was possibly still on scene at [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

I arrived on scene at [900 BLOCK] Corder Road apartment [REDACTED] and made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was being checked out by Houston EMS for her injuries. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] appeared distraught and stated her boyfriend Jared assaulted her at his residence at [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she got into an argument with Jared due to him believing she was talking with someone else. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared went through her phone and she told him she was going to leave him.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] initially left the residence and went to the McDonald’s at 3133 Watson Blvd with their son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated while she was at McDonald’s, she got on the phone with Jared. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she got out of the car to give [REDACTED BY AGENCY] a binky and got back into the car. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared got irritated due to him hearing a car door open and believed “she went to meet someone”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared asked her to come back to his residence and she went back after leaving McDonald’s.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] arrived back at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Jared began going through her phone to look for “deleted” messages. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she asked Jared for her phone back. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared had the phone behind his back and she began to reach for it. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared pushed her and then threw her onto the couch in the living room. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared pinned her down on the couch by holding her down with his left hand.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared grabbed a knife and began holding it against his own arm. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared told her he would “make it look like she cut him” with the knife. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared grabbed another knife and placed it in her hand. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared put a knife in her hand to “get her finger prints” on it so they would “both go down for it”.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared began to calm down and she got up off the couch. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared would be calm for a moment and then get angry again. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared also threw her down on her head. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated during the altercation, Jared made a threat saying if she “brought another man around their baby” he would “cut her head off.”

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was still in his car seat and attempted to leave the residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared grabbed the car seat from her and set it down. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated when Jared had calmed down again she grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] her keys, and her phone and left the residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated when she left the residence she came to her friend, [WITNESS #1]’, apartment and called 911.

I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] where in the residence did the altercation occur. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated it happened in the living room. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if Jared lived alone and if anyone else would be inside the residence and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated no. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also stated Jared was possibly “on something.”

I later contacted [REDACTED BY AGENCY] via phone and asked where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in the residence when the assault occurred. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in the living room during the incident where he could potentially hear or see the assault occur. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared also had a camera on the inside of the house and when he “realized” what he was doing during the incident he unplugged the camera.

I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if Jared was known to have any other weapons. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jared had several knives and firearms but was unaware of all the locations they would be inside the house.

Cpl Watkins who was also on scene gathered photos of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s injuries from [WITNESS #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she originally had Jared’s blood on her due to the knife incident as well as lacerations on herself due to the assault. The photos showed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had blood on her left and right wrist, a red laceration on her left upper torso, scratch marks on her upper right arm, scratch marks on her left thigh, and redness on her right ankle. Photos of the injuries will be attached to the report.

While I was interviewing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] she received a call on her phone. The incoming call was from Jared and I advised her not to answer it. I advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if Jared called again or attempted to make contact with her in person to call 911.

I asked [WITNESS #1] if it would be ok if [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stayed the rest of the night at her apartment and she stated yes. I advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] how to obtain a copy of the report. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was also provided information for the Salvation Army to assist her with anything she needed from the incident.

Prior to leaving the scene with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] dispatch stated they received a call from Jared at his residence at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Dispatch stated Jared stated his “child’s mother cut” him “with a knife on the arm.” Dispatch stated Jared stated their “child was on scene” at the time of the incident. I started enroute with Cpl Watkins to make contact with Jared.

Dispatch was asked to call Jared back when we arrived on scene and have him step out without any weapons. Dispatch was unable to reach Jared via phone. I went to the side of Jared’s trailer and knocked on the residence and on the window to get his attention. Jared stepped out and was irritated due to me knocking on his window. Jared was holding a bloody paper towel against his would on his left arm.

Due to incident that occurred and Jared’s demeanor, Cpl Watkins and I detained Jared and advised him of his rights. Jared was searched and we located a wallet, phone, and a bottle of pills belonging to him. Due to Jared’s arm, we advised dispatch to have EMS enroute to medically clear him.

Jared was walked to my patrol car where he was patted down again and placed into the back of my patrol car. While being placed in the back of my patrol car on the back passenger side, Jared leaned his head to the right hitting his head against the door. Jared claimed I “slammed his head into the door” although there were no visible injuries.

Houston EMS arrived on scene and cleared Jared from his injuries on his arm. Jared was advised he was under arrest for family violence charges.

I gathered Jared’s wallet and phone to be taken to the jail. Prior to leaving the scene, an additional Georgia I.D. belonging to, [REDACTED], was located in Jared’s wallet. Cpl Watkins later contacted [REDACTED] via phone who stated she was an ex girlfriend of Jared’s and she no longer lived in Georgia. [REDACTED] was advised the I.D. would be taken from Jared and destroyed.

Cpl Watkins placed Jared’s pill bottle inside the residence and secured the door prior to us leaving. Jared was transported to the Houston County Detention Center. While enroute to the jail Jared stated the incident occurred due to him “wanting to leave” [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and that she cut him with a knife. Photos of Jared’s injuries and blood on his pants were taken when I arrived at the Houston County Detention Center.

Jared was turned over to the Houston County Detention Center. [REDACTED]’s I.D. card was taken to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and placed in the evidence room and logged for destruction.

Warrants will be taken on Jared for simple assault family violence (OCGA 16-5-20(D)), battery family violence (OCGA 16-5-23.1(F)(1)), false imprisonment family violence (OCGA 16-5-41), aggravated assault family violence (OCGA 16-5-21), and cruelty to children in the 3rd degree family violence (OCGA 16-5-70(D)(1)).
