AP [WITNESS #1] stated the a male called the school at 1550 hours and stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been sexually assaulted in 3rd period gym class by Jaylen Melonson. I asked AP [WITNESS #1] to provide me with the victim’s contact information. I then called [WITNESS #2] and she was unaware of the incident. Ms [WITNESS #2] stated she would call me back. Ms [WITNESS #2] called back and stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that Melonson came to her gym class and sat beside her, he then put his arm around her and kept trying to stick his hand in her pants near her v*gina. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she kept pushing him away and he then grabbed her hand and rubbed it across hi p*nis.

Melonson stated he did sit beside [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and he did put his arm around her trying to hug her. Melonson stated he felt her side and her butt. Melonson stated he gave [REDACTED BY AGENCY] a hand shake and pulled her hand across his p*nis. Melonson stated he didn’t think he did anything wrong because they are friends and he has done it before and nothing was wrong. [WITNESS #2] stated she wanted to press charges.

Melonson was taken into custody and transported to the Houston County Detention Center by Sgt Lawrence. School administration contacted Melonson’s mother and advised her of this incident. Video footage from the gym is inconclusive. A warrant will be secured for Sexual Battery. Both students provided written statements. Statements will be attached to incident report. Sgt Kevin Harper on the juvenile division was notified.
