On 03/02/2023 at approximately 0145hrs., I, Ofc. S. Bish, responded to [100 BLOCK] Tanya Pl. in reference to a domestic. Upon arrival, I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1].

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised the night of last date, she and her boyfriend, Mr. Jeametrice Cade, spent the night out drinking. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised after returning to Mr. Cade’s residence, they laid in the bed and she fell asleep. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she was then awoken by Mr. Cade slapping her several times in the face and yelling at her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised Mr. Cade had gone through her phone and became angry about whatever he found.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she then called 911 and while talking with the dispatchers, Mr. Cade took the phone from her, advised all was fine, and disconnected. This was also recorded in my call notes as the dispatchers could hear Ms. [VICTIM #1] in the background yelling while Mr. Cade advised them that all was fine.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised after Mr. Cade hung up with the dispatchers, he began pushing her toward the door, yelling at her to get out of his house, and to leave. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised while being pushed out, she grabbed Mr. Cade’s phone off the table and called 911 again. At this point officers had arrived and had begun to speak with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. While speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1], I noticed that her right eye was red and watery. Her eye seemed to be slightly swollen and was unable to open as far as her left eye. Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s right cheek was also swollen.

While making initial contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1], I observed Mr. Cade enter his residence. Shortly after, I heard a loud clanging sound and I observed Mr. Cade re-exit his residence. When I made contact with Mr. Cade, he advised that after a night out, he and Ms. [VICTIM #1] came back to his residence and laid in bed. Mr. Cade advised when Ms. [VICTIM #1] fell asleep, he went through her phone and discovered that she was cheating on him.

Mr. Cade advised he then gently woke Ms. [VICTIM #1] up and told her to leave his residence, Mr. Cade advised Ms. [VICTIM #1] became angry, went into the kitchen, and grabbed a large chef’s knife. Mr. Cade advised Ms. [VICTIM #1] then started swinging the knife at him and in an effort to defend himself, Mr. Cade open hand slapped her. Mr. Cade did not have any cuts or lacerations on his body. Mr. Cade advised he struck Ms. [VICTIM #1] with the palm of his right hand.

When Mr. Cade demonstrated how he struck her, Mr. Cade swung his right hand from right to left. Mr. Cade advised the blow caused Ms. [VICTIM #1] to drop the knife and he left it there for officers to see. Mr. Cade advised after dropping the knife, Ms. [VICTIM #1] called 911 and began to play the victim. Mr. Cade advised he took the phone from Ms. [VICTIM #1] and advised the dispatchers that everything was fine and disconnected. Mr. [Cade] later changed this statement to Ms. [VICTIM #1] threw her phone at him while on the phone with dispatch.

The way that Mr. Cade described and demonstrated striking Ms. [VICTIM #1] would have caused Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s left side to become injured, not her right side. Due to this, I determined that Mr. Cade’s story was inaccurate and he was the initial and predominate aggressor. Mr. Cade was placed into custody and transported to the Warner Robins LEC for processing. Photographs of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were taken by Ofc. Ewings and will be attached to this report. I will be signing warrants at the next available date.
