On November 7, 2025, around 1218 hours, I, Deputy Carroll, received a staff Centegix Alert at Veterans High School near the cafeteria.
Once I arrived in the hallway near the cafeteria, Dr. [WITNESS #1] (Assistant Principal) was walking [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to the office and advised me to make contact with Jordan Chatfield.
I made contact with Jordan and walked him to my office.
I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated that while sitting outside for lunch, Jordan was upset about her not sitting at the table with him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated they began to argue verbally for a moment. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jordan threw sweet tea on her, so she threw water back on him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jordan then ran towards her and started punching her in her head and face.
I made contact with Jordan, who stated the two were having a verbal argument. Jordan stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told him to throw his sweet tea on her, so he threw the sweet tea on her. Jordan stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] threw water back on him. Jordan stated he then swung at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] but did not connect with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] he hit the wall instead.
After I reviewed the camera footage, I observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Jordan arguing. I observed Jordan throw a beverage out of a white cup on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and then [REDACTED BY AGENCY] threw a beverage out of a white cup on Jordan. I observed Jordan run towards [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and begin to punch her. While Jordan was punching [REDACTED BY AGENCY] she was balled up, lying in the chair.
I observed a small laceration under [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s right eye by her nose. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] complained of her head hurting and her left wrist hurting.
I then made contact with Jordan in my office and advised him to stand up and place his hands behind his back. The handcuffs were placed on Jordan to the rear, fit-checked, and double-locked. Jordan was searched with negative findings.
Jordan was transported by Lt. Weldon and turned over to the HCDC.
Warrants were taken and signed on Jordan Chatfield for battery and disruption of a public school.
The body camera was in use.
Upon submitting the report, I was contacted via phone by Dr. [WITNESS #1] on Saturday, November 8, 2025, around 1238 hours, who advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s mother [WITNESS #2] contacted him via phone and advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had suffered a fractured wrist from the physical altercation that occurred on November 7, 2025.
I made contact with [WITNESS #2], who stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] suffered a fractured wrist, and the wrist is currently in a splint. I advised [WITNESS #2] to bring the paperwork to Veterans High School Monday, November 10, 2025, so I could update the charges against Jordan to aggravated battery.
Around 1637 hours I made contact via phone with the on-call magistrate judge (Judge Turner) and informed him of the incident. Judge Turner advised contacting the solicitor and having them upgrade the charges to aggravated battery.
