On January 4, 2026 at 2044 hours, I, Officer Wilson, was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Francis St. in reference to a domestic/unwanted person call.

Upon arrival, I made contact with Keonme Clay. Ms. Clay had a deep laceration to her right pinky finger, and the wound was bleeding heavily. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] EMS was requested to respond. Ms. Clay was provided paper towels and instructed to apply pressure to the wound until EMS arrived. Officer K. Houck made contact with the other parties involved while I spoke with Ms. Clay to obtain further information.

Ms. Clay was very emotional and upset, which initially made it difficult to gather information. I learned that Ms. Clay was previously in a relationship with [VICTIM #1] and they still communicate periodically. Ms. Clay stated that between approximately 1500–1600 hours, she and [VICTIM #1] engaged in a verbal argument over the phone. Ms. Clay said she walked to [VICTIM #1]’s residence to bring her a bag of ice. While en route, [VICTIM #1] told her she wanted to fight, and the two continued exchanging messages.

Ms. Clay stated that although she intended to bring the ice, she also brought a golf club with her to protect herself because both [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #1]’s girlfriend, identified as [VICTIM #2], told her they wanted to fight when she arrived. Ms. Clay allowed me to review the text messages on her phone. I observed messages where Ms. Clay told [VICTIM #1] she wanted to fight [VICTIM #2] when she arrived. I also observed messages where [VICTIM #1] attempted to de-escalate the situation and told Ms. Clay she would come outside to get the ice without there being any problems. Ms. Clay replied, “you know my beef is with her not you right I don’t wanna fight you just her.”

Ms. Clay stated that when she arrived at the residence, a physical altercation occurred. She admitted to breaking a window and attempting to pull [VICTIM #2] out of the window during the altercation. She stated this is when she cut her finger.

Officer Houck spoke with [VICTIM #2] and [VICTIM #1]’s sister, identified as [VICTIM #3]. From their statements, I learned that when Ms. Clay arrived at the residence she confronted [VICTIM #1], [VICTIM #2], and Ms. [VICTIM #3], and a physical fight took place. At some point, [VICTIM #2] and Ms. [VICTIM #3] went back inside the residence. [VICTIM #2] was inside the front right bedroom with [VICTIM #1]’s [REDACTED BY AGENCY] when Ms. Clay broke the bedroom window and attempted to grab [VICTIM #2] through the window. Ms. Clay was unsuccessful and sustained her hand injury at this time.

Ms. Clay then went to the front door, which had a glass screen door. She shattered the glass and damaged the lower metal frame of the door while attempting to force her way inside. Ms. [VICTIM #3] held the interior door shut and Ms. Clay was unable to enter.

[VICTIM #2] and Ms. [VICTIM #3] advised that [VICTIM #1] left before our arrival. However, I believe [VICTIM #1] may have still been inside the residence. A GCIC/NCIC check [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

I also spoke with a neighbor at [200 BLOCK] Francis St. who allowed me to view surveillance footage captured from her carport camera. The footage showed Ms. Clay and [VICTIM #1] involved in a physical altercation in the front yard where both appeared to be throwing punches. Due to [VICTIM #1] not being on scene, she was not listed as a victim in this incident.

Based on Ms. Clay’s self-admission, her injuries being consistent with forced entry through glass, and the statements provided by [VICTIM #2] and Ms. [VICTIM #3], I found probable cause to charge Ms. Clay with criminal damage to property (estimated damage approximately $600), simple assault x2, and cruelty to children third degree.

Due to the severity of Ms. Clay’s hand injury requiring medical treatment, she was not taken into custody on scene and was released to EMS personnel for transport. I will be seeking warrants next date.

After reviewing the incident and elements of the crimes with my supervisors, I found that home invasion-2nd degree is an applicable charge due to the severity of the offenses. I found probable cause to charge Ms. Clay with home Invasion 2nd degree due to Ms. Clay ariving at the residence with a weapon (golf club), breaking the bedroom window in an attempt to pull [VICTIM #2] out of the residence to assault her, and trying to gain entry into the residence to assault [VICTIM #2] by shattering the glass door and trying to force open the door being held closed by the victim while still in possession of the golf club.

Pictures were not taken on scene of the damage; however, the property damage was captured on body-worn camera. Surveillance footage will be uploaded to RMS.
