Officer’s Narrative:

On June 6th 2026, at approximately 0430 hours I Deputy Thompson, along with Centerville Officer Harrison and Cpl. McBean, were dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a Domestic.

Upon our arrival, we made contact with the victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the witness, [REDACTED]s grandmother, [WITNESS #1], they were interviewed and advised the following:

Earlier on the date of this incident, the offender, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]s father and [WITNESS #1]s son Marc Duncan was having what they believed to be a medical issue prompting an EMS response (report number: 2026-02459). After EMS departure, Marc became irate and began to throw things throughout their house. Marc then pushed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] onto the couch inside of their living room, began to wrestle with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on said couch and began threating to kill him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then stood up off the couch, when he did so, Marc wrapped his arms around [REDACTED BY AGENCY], causing visible scratches and bruising around [REDACTED BY AGENCY]s chest and torso.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was the able to break free from Marcs grasp, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [WITNESS #1] then fled the scene to go to a friend’s house located at [REDACTED]. [WITNESS #1] advised she did not see [REDACTED BY AGENCY] get pushed nor did she hear the threats Marc made, as she was across the house and has hearing issues. She did, however, observe Marc grab [REDACTED BY AGENCY] after he stood up from the couch.

We then made entry into their home and located Marc laying in his bed. We attempted to interview Marc but was unable to make sense of his statements as he would skirt around our questions and change the subject of the conversation.

Based on the evidence and statements I gather on scene, I took Marc into custody, placed in hand cuffs, double locked and checked for fit. I then attempted to perform a search incident to arrest but as I began to do so Marc attempted to rip out our hands in the direction of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [WITNESS #1]. We then pushed Marc up against the side of my Patrol vehicle in attempt to control him.

Marc then started to thrash as we attempted to put him in into the back of my patrol car, requiring myself and the Centerville officers to pick him up and push him into the back row of my patrol car while he continued to resist. Once inside, Marc began yelling and kicking the windows of my patrol car. During our altercation with Marc, my body worn camera was knocked off my uniform and fell to the ground.

I gathered final statements and photos of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries.

I then transported Marc to the Houston County Detention Center. Upon my arrival, I moved Marc from the back of my patrol car to an isolated booking cell. Once inside the booking cell, with the assistance of jail deputies, I performed a search incident to arrest. Locating multiple personal items on Marcs person. We additionally located a small bag of suspected methamphetamines from Marcs person. I then removed my hand cuffs from Marcs wrist and turned him over to jail staff.

Based on testimonial and physical evidence, I obtained the following arrest warrants on Marc:

O.C.G.A 16-5-23.1 – Battery Family Violence
O.C.G.A 16-5-70 Cruelty to Children 1st Degree
O.C.G.A 16-42-5-15 Crossing the Guard Line with a Narcotic
O.C.G.A 16-13-30 Possession of a Controlled Substance
O.C.G.A 16-10-24 Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers (three counts)

While running Marcs information through GCIC, I found out he was on probation. I notified Officer Bradley Kimbal of the GDCS of Marcs charges and was advised he would be taking out an additional warrant out on Marc for violating his probation agreement.

Centerville Officers ensured [REDACTED] and [WITNESS #1] received the case number before they cleared the scene.

I placed the suspected methamphetamines into a GBI evidence bag and entered into the Houston County Sheriffs Office evidence room to be held for testing.
